Hi Atomic,

After many months of ttc we decided to take a little break from trying with the intention of starting again around September time. In preparation for that we both started taking 200mg of Coq10. Well about 2 weeks ago we got a bit carried away and had 1 night of unprotected intercourse and because we had been ttc so long before I really (nievely) thought there was no way I'd get pregnant.

My Period is not even late yet but I was feeling very nauseous and decided to test with a frer at 13dpo. A Bfp came up instantly! never been so shocked in all my life. Clearly God also has a good sense of humour because all being well that baby does ok it will be our 3rd child due in spring and our second in the month of April😂.

Thank you so much for all your advice and support, I'll keep in touch, we are so excited and are praying this sweet baby boy or girl continues to grow and thrive ❤

Oh gosh wow that's GREAT! Huge congrats!! That is how my kids are too - two in December, and I didn't want ANY in December LOL!

Hi Atomic

I just wanted to update you to let you know I sadly found out at a early scan a few days ago that I've experienced my second missed miscarriage(first was 6 years ago just before we conceived our second son). Still patiently waiting for everything to pass, I have a hospital appointment next week incase I need some medication to get things moving. I'm ok, I'm trying to stay positive that one day I'll meet our two heavenly babies❤and that we can hopefully ttc again within a few months

started bleeding today so atleast the pregnancy is ending naturally which I'm pleased about, my last loss carried on until 13 wks and then I needed D+C. Can I ask about supplements I was taking, I know its unlikely to have been a reason for the loss but just wanted to check for future ttc. During our ttc break for a few months I took 500mg EPO continuously to help dryness and cyclical breast pain, and I was taking Folate, Coq10, Iodine and iron every few days. I stopped EPO mid bfp cycle just incase we did catch. Was this safe enough? Is it ok to take Coq10 daily and EPO from AF-O during active ttc cycles if I do opks and stop taking at +opk?

I would not recommend EPO for future cycles. It is a strong blood thinner and has some hormonal effects, and I felt like it was creating problems with bleeding even into pregnancy when having stopped it at ovuation (and I never really love you guys taking anything that thins the blood and then stopping it suddenly.) I would leave it out.

The coq10 is fine.
