Hi ladies! I am back after a successful boy sway in 2021!
We are looking to sway for a girl this time but will be happy with what we get :)
What are you ladies eating and how much exercise are you getting? Any info will be great!
We plan on starting to try in April as I am 41 and it took us 5 months for our little guy :)
I would lover to hear your stories :))))
Have a wonderful healthy day!

Oh exciting news Treens!!!
I would definitely advise you to be on the atomic fertility diet for optimal egg quality and you can find that here: https://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/9052-swaying-under-special-circumstances-part-3-pcos.html
Definitely exercise 60 minutes at least 4 days a week! Doesn't need to be super intense, walking is fine.
Is there a reason to wait till April??

I think the having only coffee for breakfast and coffee again at lunch did it for me. Plus I was vegan and dairy free. I didn’t snack, didn’t have breakfast nor did I do weights. Low fat / low protein. What did you do for your boy sway?

Amazing! Thank you so much Atomic. We are planing then because it will give me some time baby was born end of August C-section I know you are suppose to wait longer but we are ready. Also we will be going to Mexico at the end of February for 2 weeks so i think diet will be out the window with all the tacos :)) And my husband wants to be on parental leave for summer, he will get another 8 months off. So January would be the soonest we would like a little one. I am so enjoying our little guy still. But we want to be realistic I am not getting younger.
Atomic- how many cups of coffee is ok? Can they be decaf? I do use flavoured creamer but im trying to cut it out :)
Also should i just be taking folic acid? I havn't been takin anything for the last month.
I am still breastfeeding but he has bottles most of the time as I dont know how much milk i am making, he uses me more for a soother. I had breast implants so I feel like it was/is hard for me to get the let down.
Thank you the finalcountdown-- Did you just drink black?
I would just walk 5 x a week and do some weights. I tried to snack and eat lots of little meals always breakfast usually oatmeal.
Im excited to be back :)

I drank it in the morning with oat creamer then in the afternoon with this giant concoction of greens powders, soy protein and almond milk. Like 4 cups of almond milk. I used unsweetened and added stevia which I think atomic said *may* sway boy but probably not with as much as I was using. Then a giant salad for dinner…
I won’t be doing any of this for my boy sway except maybe the nightly salad if atomic approves!!
How are you feeling about another c section? I had my third cs end of July and I’m kinda terrified to do it again.

oh yes if a c-section you need to wait however long is appropriate in that case.
Yes, for pink you can have regular OR decaf. I would just aim at having more than you have had in the past. So if you drink NO coffee, one is enough. If you drink one cup, then have two, that sort of thing
Yes I'd have you on folate or folic acid, 1200-1600 mcg daily. Continue this level all thru the entire first tri and then gradually wean off by spacing doses further and further out till down to one per week, then you can drop them.

They say to wait a year same as regular delivery because it’s not so much the healing as it is the body needs to get its resources back up. I do want my kids close together and #3 has been so easy from day 1 I think I could be preg while she is still young as long as 12 months isn’t too close for boy sway!

Thank you Atomic!
- What vegetables and fruit would you say is best for Girl Sway?
- Is it ok to have a bit of flavoured creamer in your coffee or should i try quit?
- As for Alcohol what is the thoughts on how much and when in the month to drink.
- When we get down to the time is it still 1x at positive OPK I am 41 will almost be 42 by then and my husband it 30.
- Does it sway to have another baby before the 1 year old mark?
Thanks again!

Whichever ones you like! We used to think that we should eat only the lower nutrient fruit and veg (like apples and cauliflower) but over time it's become clear that only the nutrients in super highly fortified foods sway (like cereal, power bars, meal replacer shakes, that sort of thing) and the nutrients in fruit and veg just don't matter.
If it's sugar sweetened I'd try to avoid it unless you're having it between meals. If artificially sweetened and very low cal, that is fine. Milk or cream is also fine. Anything with sugar added should be with a meal.
1, possibly 2 drinks a day. Whatever alcohol you prefer, we've had good results with all of them. If it's sugary have it with a meal, and honestly it's best to have alcohol even non-sugary with meals since it can raise blood sugar.
I would probably have you guys start off at e4d in the 72 hour pattern (so like Mon/Thurs/Sun/Wed) that sort of pattern. Any time that day. Start this after your period ends and carry on till you're certain you've ovulated, even if that means going all the way thru till your next cycle begins. I would do that for only two months then go to e4d plus one more attempt at positive OPK, being sure to carry on the "Mon/Thurs" pattern both before and after that one attempt you're adding.
Yes, we believe it sways pink!

Atomic knows best - just wanted to add my experience….
I didn’t eat any fruit except berries and only ate them as dessert after dinner.
I think for me skipping breakfast and the coffee was really key.
Also with both girls he and hubby dtd every day or sometimes several times a day before ovulation and he was well depleted by the time the egg showed up!

Hello again!
I am wondering what kind of eating schedule is best. I get up at 7 bed by 10-11 hopefully lol I try for 10am, 2pm, 7pm does that seam ok, I try not so snack. I need to start tracking my calories :)
Should I be taking prenatal still of just folic? I have only been breastfeeding about 2 times a day but i really don't know how much milk i am still making I think it is just soothing for him more than anything.
For working out. Does it matter fore the 60 min of exersize does it need to be consecutive? Or can it be spit up?
Thanks again Atomic! OR anyone who replies :)

The eating schedule should be what works for YOU. As long as you go 12-16 hours overnight without eating, and don't snack every hour thru the rest of the day, you're all good. Flexibility is the key to success.
If he's taking bottles and/or eating table food then it's ok to wean off prenatal. Some people do choose to continue, or to take it only like 2-3 times a week instead.
The 60 minutes really does need to be all in a row if possible - after about 45 minutes of exercise, your body stops burning stores of carbs as fuel and starts burning fat. Something about this process sways strongly pink for reasons we don't understand.

My cycle is 27 to 30 days long it usually being 28.

Since time is not on our side here, I'd have you guys use a lube that is marked "sperm safe, conception friendly." Soemthing like Conceive Plus or Preseed. Just the minimum amount needed for comfortable intercourse is great, more than that may sway blue. I'd stay away from other lubes as they do kill sperm.

Good to know treens! Thank you! Also I remember now that I was strength training when I got my boy and none with my girls, and with him didn’t drink much coffee and when I did it was cold brew black just a tiny cup. And ate tons of blueberries! With the girls I drank coffee regular brewed- and with like half a carton of almond milk every day. And used LOTS of stevia which I read somewhere messes with your blood sugar even though it has zero calories. So first thing in the morning I would have coffee/ stevia and some type of vegan creamer then go until 2/4 pm before I’d have coffee again this time with greens powders… then dinner at 7/8 that was very low protein low fat and always vegan, zero animal products and also no coconut or palm oils. With my girls we dtd every day after my period ended until I felt drier. So like 10 days in a row! Hubby I’m sure was depleted!

Hi again!!!
I am now CD16 and I got a peek on my cheep Ovulation sticks today. We have been bedding every 72 hours since my period ended so 19th, 22nd, 25th, 28th so should again 31st tomorrow. Will that one be too late or a good time? I am also having a bit of cramping and more wetness. Or should i do both days? or stay firm on the 72 hours this cycle? When I had my boy we did 2 days before and ovulation day.
I am getting excited but feel calm about this sway. Also being the first month its not as worrisome. I am also 41 now but I really don't feel it but who knows about my little eggs they aren't getting any younger!
Thank you

I would go at least 1-2 more rounds with the e4d after this in case of delayed O.
Whether or not to add an attempt is at your discretion, I do think you'd have better chance of conception with today and tomorrow. It's your call - for best chance of pink, stick with the attempt you've had, for best chance of conception, add an attempt.
Good luck!

Hello! I am doing well, enjoying the warmer weather here in Canada.
We attempted this month AF is due to arrive on Tuesday. This is our 1st month. I am feeling cramps already so Im pretty sure I am out this month. I feel like I am doing pretty good trying to stay eating more girl friendly and have lost a pound a week for 4 weeks so far so i am feeling proud. I am getting in woking out 5x a week doing a bar blend program but only 30 min but then walk for 30 min 1-3x day getting kids from school.
How are you doing? What CD are you?

You never know till AF shows! I am not cycling yet since my daughter is just 8 months. Hoping to get preg July when she turns 1 if my cycle has resumed. I started the boy diet far in advance so hopefully all this good protein and fat has “built up” a bit in my system. It seems people who eat this way for a long time get set for lots of boys! Just trying not to gain but I think I found the sweet spot to maintain. Good job on the losing weight! The girl diet isn’t nearly as fun [emoji1787]

I had my boy the end of August but it took 5 months of trying for him so we kinda want to have a head start Dh is 30 and I will be 42 in July so my window is closing if we want another one. I would love for him to have a little sister or even a brother he is such a good boy but I know how you get one good one the next could be a terror lol. I have 4 children 21,18,10, almost 8 months. Hello Girlboyohboy and The finalcoundown
How are you ladies doing?
We decided to do a light try this month we weren't going to because January wasn't our preferred month but we couldn't help but give it a little go. So we were going to do 72hr pattern but we really just ended up doing 1 attempt the day before ovulation, I ovulated i believe yesterday and we were going to do another attempt but i just was too tired. So we will see :)
I feel like i cheated a few times this month on food. I find it easy if I am home or even out for dinner but if you go to someones house its hard, I don't want to be rude! My husband is Mexican, his mom is an amazing cook but it is meat, corn tortillas, corn soups with meat. So it is defiantly hard no veggies :) we usually go 1x a week. So i just try to eat a little but she is like a pushy grandma who thinks you have never eaten in your life hahah

Hi Treens, looks like we will be in the 2ww together again! Who knows, your light tcc could be your lucky month!
I hear ya on the family and sticking to diet. On Easter my mom had a brunch with eggs and bacon and all the fixings, but I stuck to smaller portions and all was good. I had a major cheat the other day with Easter candy that has been staring me in the face over the past couple of weeks lol.
Good luck and keep us updated! 💗

Here we go again :) This will be cycle 3 for us trying.
Currently cd 5 of a usually 28 day cycle.
This month we will still try the every 72hr until after 0.
I am still trying to cardio & walk as much as i can.
Eating 2-3 meals a day no snacking- drinking black coffee 1-2 a day maybe 3 bud decaf- when i have alcohol i do it with supper about 5x week 1-2 drinks. going for the 60fat 60pro 1800 cal still breastfeeding 1x day.
I am really trying to get my water intake up this month too to help overall and for my old eggs LOL I am almost 42. I really don't drink much at all of anything.
QUESTION ATOMIC
Should I start taking CoQ10 again or does that sway? I know you always say not to worry too much about age but I really think my age is "geriatric" LOL now what is your opinion on when to be more concerned due to age.
Any other suggestions.
We were going to wait last month and this month because we were thinking of traveling and these months wouldn't be ideal but we thought lets just go for it. Time is not on our hands. But we are 100% happy with our little boy who is almost 9 months so if it doesn't happen we still feel blessed.
Next month we will possibly do the every 72 plus 1 attempt at positive OPK.
Hope everyone is doing well!

Don't get too hung up on the water. Drink to your level of thirst. Inundating yourself with liquids you don't want and don't need can be bad too because you're washing electrolytes from your system. The "drink lots of water" thing is a myth, based on very little, very poor quality science (basically an old textbook with no science behind it) https://www.mcgill.ca/oss/article/health-nutrition/water-myth
coq10 doesn't hurt and may help (although it is VERY expensive and is not a magic bullet, to be sure.) If you can, 200 mg a day is great. If you can't, I would just let it go and not worry about it. Your call.
I'm really glad you guys didn't skip a month - while you absolutely do still have every chance at still being fertile (the fact that you just conceived and had a baby easily indicates that your fertility is only slowly declining and is ~probably~ still good) you're right that time isn't our friend and it's best for you to conceive sooner rather than later. FXFXFXFXFX!!!

May 19th, 2022, 09:24 AM
The original plan was to do every 72 hours, but my DH is getting irritated with the “rules and scheduling” so I don’t really know. I’m going to try to stick to it the best we can while still maintaining peace. He just wants to do it every night or when we feel like it, so this is stressing him out. One good thing is that I do feel much more relaxed this cycle.

GBOB sometimes you have to just roll with that. My husband would NOT in a zillion years go along with any scheduling of BD for any of our kids - when we were trying, we were trying, and that was THAT. But both with my failed Shettles opposite, AND with my successful sway for my DD, we ended up BD in the pattern that was what I wanted (cutoff with the Shettles opposite, and one attempt with DD) without any arguments or stress between the two of us. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.

Oh gosh I'm so terribly sorry to hear this! I'm absolutely heartbroken for you. Did the doctors have any insight into why it happened? Did you do any testing? The reason I ask is that it's unusual (as I'm sure you've probably heard more than you cared to recently, I'm sorry) to have a loss at that point in time, so I want to be sure they've ruled out things like thyroid issues, which can be fixed. Given your age I am worried they might try to just write this off as chromosomal without any additional testing, and since the pregnancy went as long as it did it might not BE chromosomal, and I want to be sure you're fully taken care of.
Is there a particular reason why you're not trying again till January? (if this is a personal reason just say "it's personal", I simply am trying to rule out you waiting when you do not need to wait in terms of your sway - you do NOT need to go back onto diet the full amount of time if that's what you were thinking) You'd definitely need to wait one cycle but I can see you trying in December or even November if your cycle returns fast.
Let's have you add in 200 mg coq10 (wean off this at BFP) and up to 2000 mcg folate, all thru the first trimester, then at that point gradually wean off by spacing doses further and further out till down to the amount in your prenatal.
While I don't find that Vitamin D really helps prevent losses except in those who are very deficient, if you're concerned you can add in 400 mg D daily for the next 6 weeks, then go to 3x a week maintenance dose.
Fish oil is a gray area for me. To be honest I don't think it helps egg quality, and larger doses have caused bleeding issues that can be harmful to pregnancies (many of the subchorionic hemorrhages I've seen were in women taking fish oil, in some cases ending the pregnancy). If you feel you need it, I would suggest no more than 250 daily and if you notice any signs of bleeding or bruising, heavier periods, or spotting then go to every other day on that. Do NOT increase dose once you get pregnant, either. And wait to start this till your bleeding from the loss is finished.
Another thing we could add is myoinositol. I would suggest 1000 mg from AF-O and then 500 (or 1000 mg every other day) from O-AF. At BFP you can gradually wean off by spacing doses further and further out till down to one per week, then you can drop it. It may help with egg quality and with your sway as well.

That is nine grams (so, 9000 mg) of myoinositol. I would have you take less than that.

1 month after our loss
CD 1 for me
I was sure I would start my period today or tomorrow because I was sure I ovulated 2 weeks ago and have a pretty normal 28 dayish cycle usualy. so I hope I can know this month too. We will try this cycle. Hopping for a healthy baby :))

I have had 2 periods since our loss. both have been 30 days. The first one i missed seeing ovulation on our cheep tests. This last one I got the clear blue we got flash smile for 2 days then solid smile on CD 12. So I would assume ovulation CD 13. Would that have been correct if I still had a 30 day cycle?
Thank you for your help :) Happy New Year to all!

Probably not, unless you had a very early loss. Longer than 14 day LP, while possible, are really not very common at all. It's by far more likely to have ovulated a little later than you thought. The Clearblue probably detected a surge, but your body decided not to ovulate with that surge. The downsides of the Clearblues is that once you get the 2 smileys, the monitors just sort of assume "ok ovulation has occurred" but you can have another surge and then ovulate a few days after that.
Edited to add - for some reason I read that as a 33 day cycle the first time! I'm keeping my above answer intact for your future reference, but I think it's also possible you ovulated late CD 14 into CD 15, then had a slightly longer than normal LP (14ish days, but the longer edge of that). Either option is possible with a 30 day cycle - but not a 33 day one!

Hello all!
Just wanted to do a little post.
Our little girl would have arrived next week, makes me sad to think how time has passed so fast. I think about how we would have felt if we were waiting for her arrival and preparing for her. She will never be forgotten :)
We are on cycle #6 of trying again. I have gotten shorter cycles the last few months. Maybe because I have been so sick all the time since January high fever for a week ending in chest infection, Feb. strep throat, March hand foot and mouth (felt worse than strep throat that i had the 3 weeks before) ontop of getting Covid right after. My body is catching everything this year and I never get sick LOL I am on the mend though now.
CD 11 for me I got flashy smile today we bedded last night and will tonight and tomorrow. Then my husband leaves for 4 days and will bed when he is back again. At this point I would love a Christmas baby :))
Hope you are all doing well :)

It’s so normal to be sad, especially around the DD of the baby that you lost.
I always have a pang of hurt, 8 years on - it’s fleeting but it’s there.
You are such a resilient and happy person xx
Definitely sounds like you’ve had quite the bit of illness you poor thing - once you’ve been really sick it can be hard to get on top of it because your immunity is low ! Hopefully with spring now there in the northern hemisphere, you can get a break and not be sick anymore … fingers crossed this is THE cycle for you guys :)

Sorry about your little girl treens. But glad you are getting back at swaying again. You are actually lucky you can try naturally. I am on my egg donation cycle now so in my case it's different.

We got a BFP after our first try with Letrozole. (also acupuncture, chiropractor, and massage I tried to stay relaxed this cycle)
We are expecting almost exactly the same time as last year (April 10, 2023 & April 6, 2024) if we did not have a loss in September 2022.
Excited, Nervous Just wanting a HEALTHY baby :)
Atomic, I have been taking myinsol and coq10, should i wean off of them? Also a prenatal but extra folic. How much folic in total should i be taking? Is there anything i need to add that you suggest?

AAAA great news!! Hugest congrats! Yes, gradually start weaning off the myoinositol and coq10 by spacing doses further and further out till down to one per week, then you can drop them.
What prenatal are you taking??
I would like you to continue at the amount of folic acid or folate you're already taking throughout the entire first trimester, and only at that point should you gradually wean off back to the amount in the prenatal. Most people take about 1200-1600 for swaying, but I may have had you taking more like 2000 because of your loss - was that correct?
So take what you're taking in terms of folic/folate till about the 11th week and then gradually start weaning off it. The neural tube will be closed at that time so it's safe to wean off and just carry on with prenatal then
