I know we can have a chat day in our 2ww but how long after first attempt should you wait until you have a cheat? I haven't had a cheat meal in weeks.

Have a cheat meal whenever you want. Even if it was the day OF attempt, it's fine. If eating anything for one day could sway, I'd only have you guys do diet for one day!!

@atomic sagebrush my diet started off really strong but because of work and travel I've found I have been having about a week of 1 cheat meal a day and excercising from everyday has slipped.
Should I skip next try or still aim for it?
Thanks

To let you know where I am at, I've dieted for 15+ weeks and I'm about 9dpo and in this 2ww is where it's slipped.

Yes absolutely still go for it! Most of the time when people think they're doing badly I question them and find they've actually not cheated at all, or have only just barely exceeded the limits. And in regards to exercise, if you've been running around busy and stressed lugging a suitcase that really IS exercise, just a different form than what you normally have.
This is the perfect time to fall off the wagon. Just pick it up when you can and move on. You'll still have all the benefits of the weeks of diet beforehand. Don't skip the month because in most cases you don't need to anyway, and also because many times people who skip months simply end up TTC in months that are worse!

I've definitely gone out of my limits.
2 nights I had different cuisine (thai & indian - both vegetarian) but was able to keep it vegetarian and not eat too much but one night I had a big mac n fries and the next day I was served a pub beef burger with fries.
I'm a wedding photographer so I have just eat what is given to me or what is easily accessible we pack our own lunch so stuck to diet there.
I am not too worried about the excercise because a full day at a wedding we never are sitting.
So if you think I can continue next round and haven't ruined are chances, We are just going to go back hard on the diet and stick to our limits agains to make up for it.

Yes just continue!! The Thai and Indian foods are not true cheats at all, and two hamburgers are really totally fine. Those do not amount to anything. Your body just gets rid of most of it. It takes time to replenish your resources and those occasional cheats, which I actually WANT you guys to have as it gives your body a chance at nutrients like iron and zinc which it may not be regularly getting that much of, are absolutely fine.
PLEASE do not now go back "hard on the diet" to make up for this. There is nothing to make up for, and in getting too strict not only is it horribly control freakish right when you should be settling into LE and not thinking about what you're eating every minute of every day, but additionally it sets up a binge purge cycle where you're alternating between being insanely strict and having blowouts when your willpower fades. Plus, it is a surefire way to delay or even stop ovulation. There is nothing to be gained from cutting back now. Just go back to eating the way you have been and carry on. I promise, everything is absolutely fine, you can try this month, no worries, all that fits within the realm of allowed cheats as needed.
