Moving my monotonously boring daily log of food and activities here where it belongs! Let’s go boy sway!!!!

Tea/ date syrup/ milk
Oats/ wm kefir
Nuts/ 2 eggs/ cauliflower/ spaghetti squash/ 1/3 clif bar
Matcha/ gelatin/ milks/ syrup
Venison/ chili/ broccoli/ guac/ onions & mushrooms in butter
Salad/ berries
Supps
Same amount of farm work. Lots of sun

Tea/ date syrup/ milk
Kefir/ oats/ pistachios/ almonds/ cashews
1/2 peanut butter/ oat/ coconut bar
Brussels sprouts/ cauliflower / cottage cheese/ apple
Matcha/ syrup/ milks / gelatin
Venison/ swt potato/ salad/ lentils
Berries / peanut butter
Supps
Weights today 1/2 hour

Milk tea/ oats yog
2 eggs/ veg/ cot cheese/ melon/ dk choc
Matcha/ gelatin/ milks
Bison spaghetti sauce/ asparagus/ apple/ berries/ salad/ walnuts and a little peanut butter

Too many eggs? I figured 2-3 / day was good. What’s thoughts on gelatin since it’s not a “food”? I know you can make jello etc but just wondering if it’s ok as I’m really suspicious of non food items. I drink lots of powders and gallons of almond milk with my girls! None with my boy only ate real foods. I’m going to cut down on date syrup in my teas since I eat oatmeal anyways so I can use those cals for animal fat and protein. I did weight and wasn’t cripplingly sore the next day [emoji23] so I’ll add in a day a week. Plus have the normal farm work but that’s not cardio just lifting and riding and steady movement. Still BF 7mo dd on demand so no cycle yet. I feel “beefier” like more muscular but I gain muscle pretty quickly (and fat too) so going to keep an eye on those carbs coming in and keep it just from oats and fresh fruit and a little sweet potato.
I read somewhere that sweet potato, especially the skin helps regulate hormones by helping produce progesterone—- also that flaxseeds can reduce breast cancer and even treat it so probably something in them - the lignans maybe- that tamper with the estrogen levels and I would think is not ideal for fertility!!! Ok I’m gonna go organize my house now!!! Feeling energized. I had a lot of dark chocolate.
Also this is my own little wall post since I don’t have any social media… I feel way too much “need to keep up” lol!!!!

Yep 2-3 eggs is fine! I often eat 2 a day (cheap and healthy!) and have ever since before I had my 3rd boy.

Gelatin is fine. It has all the amino acids that your body turns into protein. Some people even drink gelatin juice, tho we've mostly moved away from that as it just takes up time and "stomach room" that people could be eating real foods (plus it adds another "oh no I have to manage this complicated project" element that makes some blue swayers feel overwhelmed, and for no reason as none of us with all boys were drinking that!) If you want jello that's fine, even if you want to do the gelatin juice that's ok, but I don't think it's necessary.

Sweet potato is fine, altho you don't strictly NEED it, and no one eats the skins as the varieties widely sold in stores in the US and Europe are basically inedible (if you eat the sweet potato skins in your culture, whoever is reading this, that's of course fine to continue - some of the varieties worldwide have thinner skins) Most of the people whose cultures are represented on this site do not eat the skins). I know they say all that about the skins online but with few exceptions, I find those types of instructions where you're having to eat or do something that's completely unusual just can't be necessary at all.

I like you guys to avoid flaxseed in anything beyond occasional dietary amounts, 2-3 times per week (and by that I mean a reasonable serving, like a couple pieces of flaxseed bread, or a cereal with flax in it, not a smoothie with 2 cups of ground flaxseed or whatever). Yes, it absolutely has hormonal effects, and while the InGender site likes to pretend that phytoestrogens are the same as estrogen, they aren't, and phytoestrogens compete with your body's estrogen receptors, which can actually lead to LESS estrogen being produced. Additionally, the other chemical components in flaxseed have been quite strongly linked to true harm when used during pregnancy - premature labor, and deformities in the genitals of babies, particularly boys, conceived while their moms were using it. (We actually had a client who was told that her son's birth defect was caused by her heavy flaxseed use, so that is something that is beyond the realm of the hypothetical!) We don't know how long those effects last, PLUS, taking something with hormonal effects and then stopping it in early pregnancy is never optimal and I like you guys to avoid that whenever possible. Dietary flaxseed in safe and sane amounts only!

I like the gelatin and I don’t mind it so I’ll use it for extra protein so my afternoon matcha with milk can be a full snack. Yep plain old sweet potato or even a regular potato I love the skins! And apple skins… lol! I wish I was a pickier eater I love food in general!! The only thing about my sway that is worrisome is that we are dtd unprotected every 1-3 days and I’m testing with strips but I know sometimes that can be unreliable plus there are some “spur of the moment” times when I haven’t tested. And baby is only almost 8 months old, I’d like to wait till at least a year. I haven’t had a cycle yet still so there’s no tracking that though I speculate probably around the one year mark which is ideal. Usually my ppp comes back 18+ months later but this time I’m eating regularly and more and meat/ dairy/ eggs so wondering if that will bring it back sooner? I’ll just *try* to be vigilant.

Past 2 days

Milk tea/ yog oats
Pistachios/ almonds/ walnuts
Eggs/ cheese/ cauliflower/ apple
Matcha/ gelatin/ milks/ date syrup
Salmon/ green beans/ beets/ swt potato skins/ salad
Berries/ peanut butter
Supps
Weights 1/2 hour
Milk tea/ yog oats
Eggs/ cheese/ green beans/ honeydew
Matcha/ milks/ gelatin/ date syrup
Boar/ lentils/ carrots/ cabbage cooked in butter
Salad/ berries/ peanut butter
Supps

2-4 cups/ day of whole milk and just adding lots of grassfed butter and/ or coconut oil to everything I cook and eat. Is one better than the other? Probably the butter? Are you seeing any holes anywhere? I’m still drinking 4 tea bags worth of tea a day and 4 servings of matcha as long as you don’t think that’s too much I’ll continue!

Also, sometimes I feel fine without snacks is it ok to just have the 3 meals? Or should I eat less at meals and snack? Does it even matter? I figure if I’m not hungry then I don’t need the snacks. But if the frequency is the key then I could cut back a tad at meal times. The gelatin/ matcha/ whole milk/ date syrup drink is pretty large so I have that between lunch and dinner I think that’s probably a snack since it’s 14g protein and carbs from the date syrup.

Just be on the lookout for any ovulatory symptoms and then at that point be more cautious!

It absolutely can come back sooner if you're eating better!

I don't know which is better, butter or coconut oil. Just keep doing both.

Your diet is looking great to me!! As long as you're eating protein and carbs at every meal and most snacks it's all good.

Technically as long as you're not hungry you can skip snacks, but just be sure you're not letting yourself slip back into habits of waiting a long time between meals!

:agree: yes that would absolutely count as a snack for sure!

That's about the level of tea intake I always had when I got all four of my boys. I love tea and drink quite a lot of it so that was not at all unusual amount for me!

March 14th, 2022, 08:32 PM
7/8 am Milk tea/ yog oats
1/2 pm 2-3 eggs/ apple/ carrots/ broccoli
3/4 pm matcha/ milks/ date syrup a couple nuts
7/8 pm chicken breast in coconut oil/ green beans/ cheese/ salsa/ guac/ salad
8/9 berries peanut butter
The salad I have every night is made with lettuce / chard/ kale/ red cabbage/ peppers/ cucumbers and tomatoes. A huge bowl. Like a serving bowl.
Did weights and took supplements
Weight 148 o_O
I’m thinking I could lessen the portions a tad, especially on any carbs, and see if I can stop gaining weight maybe drop a few since I’m not ovulating yet. Bad idea??? I’d keep the fat and protein up for sure though! And just SOME carbs not a lot.

Is that too long between meals?

I’m trying to keep an eye out for ovulation symptoms! So far negative!! I think I asked this before but does conceiving on the first postpartum ovulation sway IF it is past the 1 year mark?

I do lemon water time to time should I make sure it is daily?

Yes that would be my advice, just ease off the carbs a bit. Another way to go would be to split meals into two servings and have half and then half a bit later. If a small amount of weight comes back off it's ok.

The morning to lunch gap was pretty big. Might want to close that up some.

We don't have enough data to know for sure about conceiving with the first egg. Not enough people do that, and the ABILITY to do that may indicate something about condition/overall fertility (I explained this to you somewhere else, right??) I got a boy with my second postpartum cycle (I had had the first many months before, and then nothing) but I do still think that overall, the closer you are to your last conception, it's more pink friendly.

I personally don't believe lemon water is super boy friendly but it's totally fine to have and keeps people from drinking other stuff, which might be more calorie dense or the girl mom's fave drink, Diet Coke LOL

Ok. All I drink is tea or water! Yes I usually try to have lunch earlier or a snack between but the farrier was out and I had to hold horses for him- I did have some carrots though!

Yes you have explained about the postpartum fertility how it sways but I think you answered my question - it matters how close to last conception that sways pink not the number of cycles you’ve had since last conception. Right?

That’s a good idea I will cut down portions a bit and keep frequency up and prioritize animal protein and fat. I don’t plan on cutting waaaay back or going long stretches and feeling really really hungry or anything like that! Just eating more normal portions since I think I was giving into that nursing hunger!! I’ll be extra watchful and cautious to not get preggo since I’m cutting back a tad. I’m aiming for July so have lots of time to up calories!!

Milk/ tea/ blueberries/ oats/ yogurt

As far as I know yes, but the truth is I don't have any data to know either way. I would use time since birth since that's just what makes sense to me.

Happy birthday whoever's birthday it is!

Thanks it was my son’s 3rd bday!! Ok that makes sense- time from birth. I want to keep feeding my baby to keep my cycle away as long as I can so that’s good news for me!
Milk/ tea/ syrup
Oats/ yogurt/ berries split in two- 8am and 11am
3 eggs/ broccoli/ grapefruit
Matcha/ milk/ syrup/ gelatin
Pistachios (I could’ve done without these to save on cals but… nursing hunger!)
Chicken/ veggies in coconut oil/ salad/ strawberries
Same supplements, prenatal, folate, omega, probiotic and vitamin D
Just normal 2 hours riding and farm chores

I was reading somewhere about keeping blood sugar level and it said same things you say- 30grams carbs and protein and fat every 3/4 hours. It does say to cut out caffeine but now I’m severely addicted to tea!!! Do you think the caffeine in tea messes with blood sugar levels? I know you got boys drinking lots (scads!) of tea so I’m guessing the answer is no but maybe I should ease off the afternoon matcha since I drink 4 tea bags worth in the morning. Then split it 2/2? Am I splitting hairs?
I got a 35lb kettlebell so I’m going to start squatting that and focus on getting a bit leaner but eat every 3/4 hours. Oh yeah I calculated my calories and I was easily blowing past 2500 cals a day sometimes 3500 no wonder why I put on a few!! I’m going to dial that back a bit and see if I can’t put some muscle mass in place of that!
I‘ll be extra careful to not get preg!

No, the caffeine is fine. Carry on doing just what you're doing. That's not the type of "blood sugar stuff" we worry about. As long as you're eating regularly that cannot be harming blood sugar levels at all.

Awesome! Do keep in mind that if that kettlebell is just too heavy there's always the possibility of starting off with lighter weights instead of going up quite that far. Sustainable achievable steps are the key to success!

Weights 20 mins solid

Yes that’s what I was thinking in my head is I want this to be sustainable long term so I’ve started doing the weights 20 mins a day 5 days/ week and row machine in there too. The 35lb won’t be too much since I’m used to lifting 50lb bags of feed and 60lb bales of hay!! And I figure I could probably get away with less reps if it’s too much. Ok good news on the caffeine since I’m really enjoy the tea! Also trying to find the “sweet spot” in my calorie intake to not gain or lose weight.
Animal saturated fat and protein is #1 priority, right? I think I was eating too many nuts and dark chocolate. One day I had like 4,000 cals lol! So… yeah. I saw an earlier post you had made where actress Gal Gadot
had three girls so I looked online to see what her diet was and I know that it’s not always accurate but it says how she starts her day with water and coffee and then has a Mediterranean diet for lunch and dinner. And I don’t think that the Mediterranean diet includes dairy and probably very little saturated fat.

Is gelatin the same thing as bone broth? I’m getting “type 1 & 2 grassfed bone gelatin” I’ll do bone broth in addition too though if you think it’s superior!

As long as you're getting more of your fat intake from saturated fat than you are from vegetable based fats, it's all good. I had really quite a lot of nuts and dark choc when I TTC my 3rd boy in particular, but I was also eating a lot of full fat dairy and eggs and used mostly butter for cooking too.

Gelatin and bone broth are very very similar. Either or both is fine!

There is a cold going around and I had some congestion so didn’t feel like eating a whole lot even though I still ate…

Still tweaking everything to get to get down a few lbs without freaking my body out. When I started HE I lost a few lbs in the beginning then I believe I indulged a bit too much in all this food I had been missing out on [emoji1787] I know that’s a big risk when cutting cals on HE as you’ve repeatedly told me so I’ll be doing LH strips after lunch everyday and also being sure to pull out or deposit elsewhere… i have no tactful way of saying this so if you drink your husbands semen it has the same effect as dtd unprotected, did I read that right? I think I read that on here somewhere?? Plus extra protein [emoji23]

I remember when I ttc my son I had steamed cauliflower or broccoli every day for lunch with this green sriracha stuff so I’m having that every day. And blueberries! So many blueberries…

Yes that can absolutely happen so just like we talked about, skip over some of the carbier elements while still getting protein and carbs. Just choose things like fruit instead of breads and that sort of thing.

your diet looks fabulous to me! Keep it up, just not quite as much LOL.

I was speculating that might be the case. I honestly don't know for sure but that's definitely something to try if you're concerned about unprotected sex.

I also had lots of blueberries when I got DS 3 in particular. Like, several times a week, either on top of cereal or in plain yogurt. I love cauliflower and broccoli, I always have that a lot too (with boys and with girls!)

You're doing great!

May be getting to a better spot in terms of eating… Just wanted to eat a wheelbarrow load of every food that was boy friendly. More is better, right? [emoji23] I kept buying more/ different types of dairy forms and types of nuts and types of meat and dark chocolate and eating it ALL!

Keep in mind tho that if you want muscles to grow, they also need time to rest. Exercising every single day is for pink swayers. Blue swayers should have 2 days off of deliberate exercise per week!

As long as you're not gaining weight then yes just have as much as you want. With the exceptions of times when I was trying to drop pounds, I've always just eaten mostly whatever I want when I want it, and I have four boys. Moms with all girls are often watching their weight all the time.

I will make sure to take weekends off! I have a problem with “if a little is good more must be better!”- well pretty much in everything ! Yep, I had a bad habit of skipping breakfast and too busy to bother with snacking… And it’s hard to eat too many cals on a whole food vegan diet since it’s veggies/ fruits/ beans and I can eat a TON of that food- like the same as my 250lb 6’6 husband…. Ok well not when it’s meat/ dairy/ chocolate/ nuts- just have to eat NORMAL portions! And not buy EVERY nut and dark chocolate and yogurt brand and organic grassfed dairy and every grassfed red meat under the sun! Which is easier now that it’s been a few weeks and doesn’t feel like must eat it now or never !! [emoji23] Finding it much easier on life to snack and eat meals than only eat at lunch and dinner and feel loads better on tea than coffee but maybe that’s a mental thing. The really funny thing is that I can easily eat all the cals that are in the 21 day meal plan and not gain weight …. Portions!

I honestly can't answer that as we've never studied it in isolation. It's just something people consider as pink friendly, because it may harm sperm.

Yes I myself had a very brief flirtation with goat milk that lasted ONE carton LOL.

It's fine and indeed, desirable to eat a lot of fruit and veg (particularly in lieu of grain-based carbs, to prevent weight gain). I ate scads of salads and veg when I got my younger boys (I was broke when I conceived my older boys!)

Was reading today how dairy for men could lower their testosterone because of the estrogen in it is there any truth to that?
As you can see I’m getting into a routine w eating the same thing daily I hope that’s ok… I always find myself doing the same thing every day but then I have to change it… the ever changing routine! Like with kids, horses, food, etc… is that a girl mom thing? Should I try to vary my life more? I’m a portrait artist when not on the farm so part of me wants to be messy creative sprawled out overcommitted fun mom and a part of me wants to be scheduled, neat and tidy. Which “side” should I be feeding into to amplify boy mom personality?? I always freak myself out into “I’m not being boy mom enough!”

Well, the real question is, does testosterone in men ALONE sway gender, and we already know that the answer to that is NO. In fact, we see men who have taken supplements and medications to raise their testosterone very high are actually having way more daughters. So it simply cannot be the case that even IF that were true, that drinking was leading to men having more daughters.

Even in these studies, if you read the "fine print" they state that estrogen is not present in enough quantity to have any effect on the human reproductive tract even in the highest milk intake of all. The word "hypothetical" is used repeatedly. At least two that I quickly read weren't even studies in the true sense of the word, it was simply people going through and counting up numbers from other studies (which simply propagates misleading info rather than shedding any real light) Additionally, most of them were done in places where the population does not have the genetic capability of drinking milk into adulthood due to lactose intolerance (Japan, Iran) so it is entirely likely the effect of milk (if you accept their conclusions, which I don't) may be different for people who can't digest it.

If you look at countries where men eat the most dairy - Scandinavia, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Romania - their gender ratio is considerably higher (more boys conceived) than countries where 75- 100% of all people are lactose intolerant! (Of course, we have to ignore the countries where gender based abortion is endemic.) The highest naturally occurring gender ratios in the world are in Scandinavia. My husband also drinks GOBS of milk, always has, and we have four boys. This idea just really doesn't add up, so please continue letting your husband drink milk.

There's no correlation between being a scheduled person and being chaotic. I think most of us are blends of both. I don't think you need to worry about being "more boy mom" as I've mentioned in the past, your eye for detail indicates to me you already have the boy mom mindset. You're doing absolutely great. Keep it up.

Ok thanks for putting my mind at ease! And I will let the man have his milk! He still has some almond milk he drinks as well that we are finishing up, so after that I’ll have him stay on dairy.

Milk/ tea/ date syrup
Oats/ yogurt split in 2
Carrots
Eggs/ peas/ cauliflower/ broccoli
Matcha/ milk/ coconut milk/ gelatin/ date syrup
Beans/ salad/ cheese/ sour cream/ veggies
Berries/ nuts
Vit D/ prenatal/ probiotic/ folate
Kettlebell & weights 15 mins
Not as sore! I think the diet really helps with muscle recovery because I’m able to use heavy weights 35lb / 10lb and not be absolutely dilapidated the next day! Just 3 more months till July I’m praying this all pays off! But truthfully I NEEDED to have some time eating meat and dairy. 10 years of vegan and 3 pregnancies with 6 years of nursing can deplete a body. The snacking/ meals are a much more pleasant way to eat, rather than one giant meal and coffee- eww tea is soooo much better…and I definitely needed to do a structured workout I’m feeling much stronger and less back pain! Thanks for the feedback keep it comin’ !!!

I’ve been reading on here and having a minor panic attack that I’m totally screwing my sway up… I knew nursing sways pink but I’m feeling it REALLY sways pink and also maybe 12 months is too soon should I wait till 18 months? I’m wondering if I started too soon and by holding steady till dd is 18 months then it’ll be cold out and for sure my husband will be in the hot tub and possibly biking again. He doesn’t bike or use the hot tub in summer. The other thing is what if I’ve been on the he too long I’ve been getting too fat and cut back now I’m cutting back and swaying pink… or too fat and swaying pink.

I think you're doing a great job and breastfeeding is definitely overcomable. 18 months is of course my preference but we have seen many boys conceived sooner!

Above all else I want you to do what works best for your FAMILY as a whole. We can always go back and forth on sway tactics, there are always some things people do that might sway one way or the other, but the overall thing that we're doing here is adding a person to your family! That may work better for you all sooner or later so use that as your primary guideline!

I keep stressing over it- just want all the factors to be perfect and really not wanting to conceive when it’s cold out and he’s boiling his balls in the hot tub and taking advantage of the nice days and biking or dirt biking. Should I just cut down on breastfeeding? Does ebf vs only nursing once or twice a day make a difference! Gah I keep eating Bc I keep stressing about this which I guess is bonus snacking except I’m stressing I’m going to be too fat! [emoji23]

I understand but try to keep in mind that the drive to make everything "perfect" is a blue momma mindset anyway.

I don't think you should cut down on breastfeeding! Please don't. It's burning calories for you right now anyway. The amount of nursing doesn't matter because hormonally, you're either nursing or not, the hormones of lactation are still present even if you were nursing just once a day. I think you should continue doing what feels right for you and your baby, because it is always possible that you wean before you wanted to, and either don't get pregnant again, or have a girl. I have seen SOOO many people who weaned, thinking they had to for a sway, and had regrets because either they did not conceive, or had an opposite anyway. Just do what is best for your baby in the here and now.

I was very into sharing recipes and started a blog (obsessed!) then realized I was getting a bit fat (147- my weight now!)that’s when I started a more girl diet- dropped all fats, anything but veggies and berries, skipped breakfast, lifted weights and lost 10 lbs in 4 weeks but the blue friendly life must’ve came through since 4 weeks is probably not long enough to make one pink friendly enough.

I think you might want to add it up periodically. We want you at more like 90 g (or at least above 70) and a couple of your posts just have more vegetables listed than meat, eggs, dairy. It's entirely likely that you're within the limits, just want to be sure!

I am staying the same weight so I’ve been trying to use that as my guide. I do aim to have protein at every meal and snack! With breastfeeding and weights I should probably be over 100g even 120?

I also don’t record a lot of stuff that I take bite of this or a bite of that! It would be too hard to write it all down! [emoji23] [emoji200]

I rallied up yesterday and looks about 90ish grams I’ll try to sneak in some more today! Breakfast was about 35g so far!!

I wish I liked cheese I just don’t …. I KNOW!!! Cheese! What kind of monster doesn’t like cheese.

Also staying at 10 hours or less overnight

No, you don't need to set the bar so high that you can't hit it, though. 100-120 g protein is a LOT for any woman to manage. I don't think you need more necessarily, certainly not just because of nursing. The weights, only if you plan on gaining a LOT of muscle (and you wouldn't be able to do that without gainiing fat, too)

:agree: as long as YOU feel you're getting enough, that's what counts.

No only when the test is as dark or darker than control line. Our bodies use the hormone for lots of different things, and it's only when it reaches a certain concentration does it trigger ovulation. Even your husband would get lines like that if he POAS at times!

I have a question. Does the length of time increase blue friendliness as long as there isn’t fertility factors involved? As in, the longer the better on HE as long as one isn’t becoming obese and the husband is healthy? Like when women are on HE their whole life is it snowballing to make them SO blue friendly it’s harder to undue than say someone who maybe has bothered genders because they fluctuate Eaton LE/ HE? This would just be your observation/ opinion as there’s no way to really analyze this. Grateful as I would be to be preggo I am glad that I will get more time on the diet and get my attempts in! Also youngest will be a little older!

Another question, usually I get a faint line on the opk which I know I’d negative but today it was stark white. Normal?

I honestly don't think you need to be on the HE Diet as long as you can before swaying blue. We start seeing good results with the HE Diet after 6 weeks, and of course we continue to see good results even for people who have been on the diet for a super long time, like those of us who just eat that way naturally have been on diet forever. And of course, a lot of people who go on HE Diet too long and too enthusiastically end up gaining massive amounts of weight, which can actually undermine a blue sway if it gets too out of hand.

There seems to be a point at which you've swayed as much as one can sway. Whether that's the 80% theoretical upper ceiling I talk of, or if it varies by individual at any given time, I think at some point, there's still an element of luck coming into play that is insurmountable (it just makes no sense that Mother Nature would ever enable diet and lifestyle stuff to be 100%, the whole human race would have died out long ago if that was the case).

So my point is, it doesn't make much sense that we could go on and on always getting more and more boy friendly forever. At some point we'dve had to max out the measurement and just be as boy friendly as we can be! :)

Yes it's normal to get completely blank OPK too. It just has to do with the amount of hormone your body is using for other things and the concentration of hormone in your urine. It happens regularly that there will be no line at all. :)

Well I just didn’t want you thinking I was bonkers asking the same stuff twice. I am bonkers tho… obsessed!!! I just want to DO IT already!!! I know I need to wait 2/3 more months and I don’t even have my stupid cycle back yet, but it’s like getting all warmed up to compete and then having to wait… i think I’m just crazy now. I’m a crazy, swaycessed, neurotic nutcase now that can’t do anything and if I do anything it could backfire on all my work! It’s like a game now how much he foods can I eat in one day, did I do my weights and supplements… I feel like every time I do one of these things I’m just closer to getting my boy and having to remind myself it’s not a for sure thing. Now I’m on this full moon obsession where I want to get my not even here yet cycle to coincide with the full moon because I found this…

Effects of full moon and no moon on the birth of male and female offsprings were studied in Indian Couples of the age group 20 to 40 years. It was observed that 42 wives who were conceived within 24 hours of ovulation at full moon gave birth of 40 male and 2 female babies. On the other hand 40 women conceived on the day of ovulation 3 days prior to full moon gave birth of 13 male and 27 female babies. But only 5 women conceived on no moon, all of them gave birth of female babies.

So now going to attempt to keep some sort of light coming in on full moon nights and see if I can trick my body. I feel absolutely insane.

Breakfast has been the same every day, nuts for snack and lunch is always eggs/ beans and veggies. Supplements have been the same and doing weights 5x per week.

I have a very thorough debunking of this "study", which is complete nonsense and is not done by a reputable source at all whatsoever, in this thread: https://www.genderdreaming.com/forum/trying-to-conceive-a-girl/82278-can-someone-please-explain-sun-moon-affecting-girl-sway-help.html?highlight=full+moon

Please don't start worrying about the moon and stuff. You're doing a great sway. I actually have several other "debunking the moon" articles available if that one isn't enough to allay your fears.

If you want to try the Lunaception stuff, it's here: https://www.genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/1421-lunaception.html?highlight=lunaception

Hi!! My cycle still hasn’t returned and so last month I decided to drop a few lbs and retry in a few months. Youngest turns 1 next month! At the moment just cutting snacks and sticking to lots of veggies and lean protein. Keeping up with supplements, weights, lots of tea and testing w opk daily so no oopsies!

Thanks for checking in how are you doing?

Swaying blue next year after 4 girls (2 sways that failed) so this is my last last laaaast chance at a son ever unless I somehow convince DH to go for IVF

Any ideas of high animal fat/protein/ nutrient dense things that can be made in advance/batches that the whole fam might like?

Yum indeed … :P it’s winter here so it’s easier to get these meals going :D
DD3 - I did a proper sway but obviously didn’t work and with DD4, she was basically an oops so no real swaying (though I had started exercice and diet towards proper swaying a few months later).. but because we weren’t TTC it was a DTD daaayys before ovulation and only once (rest was protected) and jump and dump so all in all girl friendly :P

Right now I am cutting so just having oats/ gelatin in the morning then only beans and vegetables for lunch and dinner and tea w milk throughout the day. I’m being suuuuuuper careful checking w opk’s and also nursing as much as I can to keep cycle away. The nice thing is all those muscles I put on are actually getting visible! Are you starting HE soon?

We are doing well. Our dd3 just turned one. I'm not doing anything crazy HE but we are just making our life more blue friendly in general. I've completely cut out coffee for tea and feel so good I wonder why I was so hesitant to switch [emoji23][emoji23] also cooking with more "real" nutritious foods and exercising.

DH is no longer deploying so we won't have the "return from war" blue vibes so we are making adjustments to hopefully be as blue friendly as possible by the end of the year [emoji170]

That sounds a bit tough for sure - did you need to cut that much ?
I know there is a science to it but is the idea to lose weight (fat) to then gain muscle after? Be keen to know more if you don't mind sharing!
I have considered a body recomp process but I am just so darn sleep deprived that with FT work as well, it seems completely unrealistic at this stage - maybe in a few months once hopefully I sleep a bit again haha
The idea is to do HE soon (say 3-4m), but gradually making changes towards in the meantime. I almost drink no more coffee and have a tea or two with milk every day... starting some supps (iron as am low, probiotics then will add multi)
Will start HIIT sessions soon, 2 times/w at this stage if I can increase I will but working on keeping weight steady BUT getting stronger/more muscular ;)

It’s not too bad! Yes so in Feb started HE so I was in a calorie surplus with lots of protein and started lifting weights. I feel like I put on a fair bit of muscle and fat which happens when bulking and now I wanted to cut a bit so just prioritizing protein and cutting down on carbs and fat to just put me in a slight cal deficit. Still lifting the same amount - like 20 mins 5 days/ week with 35lb kettlebell and 10lb weights. I don’t do many reps since I ride 3/4 horses those days. Then 2 days a week don’t workout and am a little more relaxed on the diet. Also staying up with supplements and tea. I read a lot in the “how we got our boys” that moms were wedding pepping and would get fit then after get a bit lax so I’m going with that approach!! I plan to keep up weights and add in more fat / carbs, keep protein high and eat more snacks starting July (I have a horseshow to go to I wanted to look good for) when my youngest turns 1. Then going to try to get her to feed less and rely more on food to try to get my cycle back. Right now she eats very little food almost none and nurses constantly which is good right now!! Right now I’m debating if I should schedule her nursing and get my cycle back BEFORE starting to up cals or up cals and then fiddle around with the feedings. Either way, I do want to be upping for a full solid 6 weeks before attempts begin. So anyways, that’s my long boring story but I really like having a “goal” to work towards!!! What’s your plan??

Sounds like you have a plan ready to go conquer haha well done on being able to add in the weight lifting 5 days per week! You must be quite athletic anyhow if you ride a lot? ;)

Remind my sleep deprived, oh-so-exhausted brain… how many kids (and what gender) do you have? I know you have your little girl that is soon turning one but can’t recall other details, sorry

When did your cycles return for your previous babies? Getting your DD to eat more solids will definitely help that along! I found that the sweet spot tends to be when they don’t rely on BFing for nutrition most of the time, but BFeeds are just a complement to their main eating.

As for me – the plan is still vague (which I hate haha) as I have to first make sure I can get hubby convinced and within what timeframe…that sort of also will dictate a more specific action plan.
That being said, I do want to ensure that my body is as geared towards blue as possible at any time, given that #4 was our little oops – one can never be too careful! ^^
But overall, my thinking is - get rid of a bit of fat and build muscle (overall get toned and fit) and stay the course for a while and then once I know we will be ready TTC in 3 months (right now, regardless, can’t get pregnant as just started a new job so the earliest I could start TTC would be early next year, more so mid next year), up the calories/protein somewhat (the theory of plentiful resources etc) , maintain/build muscle but hopefully (the literal and not literal) heavy lifting will already been done with the previous part of the process... so can easily keep it up and if needed, get more muscular/eat more in the immediate lead-up to TTC.

Right now am so darn sleep deprived that I cannot fathom even remotely trying to be pregnant anyhow haha

My DD is a bit older than yours but she also nurses constantly – she eats well at nursery but at home with me, not always eating big quantities and she is bOOb obsessed – and is latched on all friggin night…as much as I love her, I need her back in her room/bed soon. I have given in so far as it was just easier and overall got more rest, as poor thing has been sick heaps and teething like mad especially since she started nursery/I went back to work. It’s a huge comfort thing for her too, so don’t want to rush in weaning her too fast.
But no cycle yet – first time it’s taken this long to return (suspect it’s the night nursing that is more intense than with previous girls): hope I’m still somewhat fertile, at now over 37 y.o (sigh).

I’m so intrigued.. how do you make the gelatin matcha? Does it make it solidify a bit or because it’s mixed in and drunk straight away it’s just like any drink?
:D what gelatin would you use?

I get the grass fed gelatin. I used to drink matcha but I don’t anymore bc I dunno I feel like I always have to change things! Now I just have regular tea & milk and put it in my morning “bowl” cauliflower rice/ gelatin/ goat protein/ oats. It’s weird but I’m eating a ton of vegetables to keep my volume up and calories down. But I used to just put the matcha powder and gelatin in my cup and add water and milk- it was chunky but I am not picky whatsoever so I liked it.

Yeah I have a “plan” I’m just the type always scheming and planning and then having a “new” plan/ scheme lol so I hope this isn’t going three steps back but I do plan on giving he the full 6 week attention! I want to get down a few more lbs of fat then can maintain or gain a teeny bit doing HE.

Start those weights! Even a little is better than none!

I am in the same boat with my baby, wants to nurse all night which is great because I do not want to get pregnant while cutting! Nurse is all day too. I have a girl she is six and a boy he is three then my almost one year old. So I am trying to get a brother for my boy!

You might catch that first egg before cycles returning since you are having unprotected BD ;)
The way I look at it is that you are doing lots of great things for your body - eating well, being outdoors getting fresh air and sunshine, getting all the nutrition you can with supps and whole foods, and exercising - when your cycle returns it is likely because your body feels like it is ready to sustain another baby - whether it be at 6 months PP or 18 months PP - so try not to stress over the # of months you are PP!

We are doing FR- frequent release so bd every 2-4 days unprotected. I mean hubby is really excited to have a 4th! He wants another baby - so do I but I don’t want to try too soon so I’m going to wait as close to 18 months as we can stand for our best chance at a boy!! I’m really happy he’s down to have 4 though.

It's great that your DH is onboard - he is also more likely to do the right things to help for blue !

A surprising number of people with all girls have sex daily. The thinking is that by the time the egg shows up the sperm count is so low that there's just not that much coming out each time.

Who has the time??
I wonder what we've done wrong then given that we only had that rhythm (every day at least once) pre-kids LOL

Well, there's nothing you're doing wrong of course, you just have four kiddos that happen to be of the same gender! And I know that's not really what you mean, but I do feel some of my blue swayers really do feel they're doing something "wrong" but that's precisely the attitude we don't want to see for a boy! All that's happened is that those four moments in time you got pregnant, just happened to be, for whatever reason (and likely more than one reason, for at least partially different reasons every time) you were more likely to have a girl. OR, you weren't even more likely to have a girl, but the odds just didn't fall your way! So put "wrong" and "what did we DO" because it isn't anything wrong and it isn't any one thing we can put a finger on.

Now, to answer your question, there is more than one of what I call "an important minority" when it comes to blue sway patterns. By important minority, I mean a group that has this common thing, that I don't see in other groups of people and it's strongly associated with having one particular gender. Smoking is a good one - not everyone smokes of course and in fact most people don't, and there are people who smoke and get boys. It's not a magic bullet, but overwhelmingly the people in that "important minority" get girls more often than other people.

So it goes with frequency patterns as well. I see a group that's not huge but is definitely big enough to take note of, of blue swayers who have daily sex and have all girls. It's not everyone, and there are a few pink swayers who have daily sex, but overall it's just undeniably a girl-heavy, blue swayer group (despite there being, on average, fewer blue swayers).

At the same time, I have an even MORE important minority of blue swayers who really very rarely have sex! (and I'm talking VERY rarely, like once every month or even more like every 6 months or so) Not everyone, but a surprising number, and really very few, if any pink swayers fall into this category unless they already had girls! These types of things get my attention even when I don't know why they're happening.

The point of that was, there is often more than one way to get a girl, and these important minorities are interesting not because we can necessarily harness that for swaying, but more because of what they tell us about how swaying works. But you absolutely CAN still get a boy, or a girl, no matter what, if you BD in those patterns or not.

I was just being tongue in cheek, worry not! ;)
I know that we did nothing wrong per se ... and frankly each conception was different (even if we *just* focus on BD pattern/frequency/timing) so there's got to be more to it (diet, body comp, overall health must indeed play a big big part).

I do know that we didn't have sex 6 bazillion times in a row to deplete DH though :P and that, naturally (post kids, that is), we fall into a pattern that is neither or... it's not every day BD, nor is it once in a blue moon.
We're more of a 1/2 a week - some weeks more some weeks less..as you say, life isn't static and our opportunities depend on sleep, illness, work, stress, kids ...
and as my DH likes to point out - the odds of having a boy or girl go back to 50/50 at each new pregnancy...you aren't "owed" a higher chance of one or the other because you already have 2/3/4 of the other gender first.. as much as I like to think I am due with one soon haha... the luck of the draw just landed the coin on us getting girls each time.

I've honestly reached a point where, for the sake of my mental health, I know I need to be at peace with that fact rather than trying to being right (and I know I likely will never have the minute detail of what caused the cursor to tip to pink). I know I will not cope with another girl, though so that is my big unknown.
Now - will I do what I can to hopefully get us into blue territory - absolutely! Is this my last chance of a son? Definitely! Do I need to check every scenario of my past pregnancies to establish a link between what I did and the outcomes? I'm past that - been there, done that, got nothing to show for it other than I am still here hoping for a son anyways. I've analysed all that I could/tweaked my life around what I thought would give me a different outcome.
SO - I will simply put all the *feasible* sway tactics into a sustainable, blue friendly lifestyle so it becomes second nature - I don't want to have bad stress and create anxiety. I know I can't curb my need to control, plan and predict (because having no control over what I do is negative stress inducing anyways) so will only allow what brings positive stress (competitiveness, drive) into my life and leave the rest at the door :P
