Hi! I successfully swayed boy for my first baby now I’m back to try and sway girl. Is a prenatal recommended while ttc? Is taking two different mcg’s of folic acid okay? For example is it okay to take a 800mcg with a 400mcg at the same time? I can’t find any that are high enough mcg for one pill.

We don't recommend a prenatal when swaying pink as higher nutrient intake sways blue. The only nutrient ever shown to prevent birth defects when taken before conception is folic acid, which you will be taking. The rest are ok to start at BFP.
Yes it's totally fine to take an 800 and a 400 folic acid, or three 400 spread out over the course of the day may be even better as it aids in absorption. I actulaly prefer you guys take 400 morning, noon, and night than one 1200 mcg pill.

Okay and when I (hopefully) get a BFP do I just start the prenatal and stop the extra folic acid? The prenatal I will take has 800 mcg

We like to see you guys take the extra thru the entire first trimester (the neural tube forms at that point) and then wean off gradually by spacing doses further and further out, till down to the amount in prenatal alone. So you'd basically switch out the 800 for the prenatal, take the 400 still, and then at the end of the first tri wean off the 400 and just take your prenatal.
