TTC a Girl Sway Attempt
Gender Result: Miscarriage at 8 weeks :(

Comments regarding DW's diet changes-
I did the LE diet for 6 months

Comments regarding DH's diet-
DH ate less red meat since I didn’t cook it
Did you consume alcohol?
No
Did you try to limit caffeine?
No
Any Diet Details?
2-3 cups of coffee with whole milk in the morning to tide me over until noon. Sometimes cheated when we would go out for breakfast with family. Eliminated snacking which was really difficult for me. Usually 2-3 light meals a day in an 8 hour window. Fasted for 16-18 hours. Didn’t count calories, protein, or fat intake. Didn’t want to obsess and sway blue. Purposely avoided thinking about limits by listening to my body. As time went on it got a lot easier, I felt fuller after eating smaller portions and was able to wait for longer periods of times between eating. I always waited until I was hungry to eat anything. I usually ate white rice, toast with peanut butter, bagels with low fat cream cheese, strawberries, cucumbers, yogurt, chicken, pasta, veggies.

125lbs BMI 21 started at 165lbs BMI 28
Any Weight/Exercise related additional info/comments?
I started walking on the treadmill in May. Skipped all month of June as DH and I had birthdays. Cheated on diet a lot during month of June. July started hardcore on diet and exercise. Walked on the treadmill for an hour 6-7 days a week burning around 300 calories each walk.

I was tracking ovulation for 9 months prior to attempt. I would usually O around CD 13-16. My periods became lighter and shorter on diet. I normally have a lot of EWCM, but it was scant and creamy leading up to attempt. We actually weren’t trying the cycle we ended up conceiving. We used pull out 48 hours after pos opk. I believe being on diet so long and then adding exercise was delaying O, but never confirmed with temp. I got O pains night of pos opk so I assumed egg was gone by attempt but did pull out just in case. Two weeks later got my BFP!!

Things that make me feel great about my sway:
I was strict with diet and exercise. Lost 40lbs in 6 months and was at a lower weight than when we conceived our sons.
Things that make me nervous about my sway:
I cheated a lot on diet during the month of June and right before O that lead to BFP because the in laws came to visit. We did doggy style instead of missionary. I added in soy milk for DH during the 2ww when I ended up pregnant. I really wanted to give DH soy milk and OLE for our attempt. I feel like DH is programmed for blue. I also wanted to use an antihistamine like Zyrtec or Benadryl. I wanted to have 12 solid weeks of exercise before attempt, but only got in about 4 weeks before conceiving.
Things worth mentioning:
I tried to do a lot of visualization during the months before our attempt. I imagined our daughter being born and running around playing with her brothers. I prayed to God to bless our family with a baby girl or to take away my longing for her. I knew that we could still get blue even with a perfect sway. I accepted that I wanted to add to our family, regardless of the gender. I tried to have fun and let go.
