I just want you guys to be on the lookout for people who may not have your best interests at heart.

Occasionally we've had the occasional clever spammer who creates a false account, seems very supportive for a few weeks, months, or even longer, posts a lot, and then when they think they've earned our trust, starts to promote their IVF clinic or donor egg service. These are not real clients of these services, they're faking their positive experiences to drum up business. I have had my eye on a couple of these people (who seem to me to be the same person, as they post in identical, somewhat weird styles) for a while now. I can't ban people on suspicion of course, but just calling it to everyone's attention.

Lo and behold, the "two" (because this is obviously one person both posting in the same distinctive style) people/person I suspect of making fake accounts to promote a certain IVF clinic, did in fact, miracle of miracles, somehow both go to the same small, relatively obscure IVF clinic. Of all the gin joints in all the world...

I am in the position to recommend IVF clinics to tens of thousands of people, and you've now guaranteed that I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever recommend your clinic to anyone. Reputable companies don't create sock puppet accounts to promote themselves.

Again, I don't ban on suspicion, but I do make recommendations (or not) based on suspicion, that's for sure.
