Hello Atomic,

My friend is swaying blue and she wanted to know if the following doses are ok for some of the supplements she got for herself and her husband.

Husband's L Arginine and L carnitine looked too much for me because I know you usually recommend 500 mg Arginine and 1000 L Carnitine.

Her husband's L Arginine Amino Acid 4000 MG
And the L Carnitine is attached in the picture.

As for her, she has low iron and she has been prescribed 600 iron per day (200 per pill, three times a day). Is that ok?

She and her husband take the rest of your recommended supplements as well. But what do you think of the above? And if it is wrong to go with those doses then can for example he takes those high doses but one l arginine per week, and one l carnitine every other day, since they are very high doses, or he would need to buy new ones that have the exact doses you recommend so he can take them daily together like the rest of the supplements?

Yes that is way more than I recommend for swaying. That's a level for men who are trying to build muscle mass really fast. He would need to buy new ones because he would be getting too much one day, and it's not the same as Vitamin D or fish oil where your body sort of saves it, he will probably just pee most of it out.

The iron is fine since she was prescribed that. I do find (as someone who is chronically struggling with iron myself) that the iron that comes in lower doses but in the form of heme iron is better absorbed. The ones that are in the hundreds of mg. are often poorly absorbed and really upset the stomach as well.
