Hi ladies just wondering if anyone wants to chat over here since we are no longer in the 2ww.

I have Girl 22, Boy 20, Girl 11, Boy 2, Girl loss 1 year ago this Saturday and now am 13 weeks tomorrow with a girl. I swayed for my last 3 pregnancies.

I have been feeling better the last week but had slight nausea for the past 3 months and just been extra tired.

I really hate cooking lol but i still can fine but we have been ordering in or going out because i am just tired.

We told our immediate family. LOL my 11 year old was not impressed and my older kids probably just roll their eyes... Being 43 and having such a large space is weird to some. But I just love kids!

Jazmin, what are your other children genders?

LMSM, I believe you were in your 2nd month of trying that is so lucky it seems for some of us to take forever. how are you feeling?

Pregnancy does take its toll - it’s hard work growing another human 24/7!!!
Yes - it was our 2nd month TTC.. which feels completely surreal to me as for my 1st two DDs, I spent literal years - going through surgeries, fertility treatments, miscarriages to actually have a take home baby!!

If anyone had told me 13 years ago that I’d be able to conceive - let alone completely naturally, I would have not believed it!

When is everyone having their next appointment or scan?

Wow - it flies by!!! I'm sure it will start feeling real once you see her at your 20 week scan, all GIRL :D

I've now booked my early dating scan for the 17th - hoping all will be well... feeling very sick already but the Unisom helps take off the edge fortunately :)

It’s part of the game :) if it means healthy take
Home baby, it’s worth it!

Are you having any cravings/aversions ?
And have you noticed any differences between your boy and girl pregnancies ?

treens
October 6th, 2023, 09:42 AM
I don't really have cravings or diversions, just some time I really don't feel like eating anything. Then the next time i want it all LOL

For me boy or girl I don't notice much of a difference at all on how i am feeling or what I want to eat. So really not sure!

We told the extended family last night and they are so excited! Something about having a baby makes the family united :)

How is everyone doing?

That’s so lovely - a baby is just the ultimate gift isn’t it?! :)
How are your eldest kids liking the idea of a new sister?

How is your bump growing ? I find that I get bigger faster every time - good ol’ stretched out uterus haha

Jasmine - how are you going? Your scan is going to come around fast!!! :)

Bump is definitely growing faster this time. I am at my favorite stage looking like i ate too much lol

We ordered some wallpaper for the nursery. I feel like it is early but I really just want to see the color so we can match things when we get to that point. Or that I for sure like it lol. I have wanted it forever.

Will you get an NIPT or check at the 20 week scan? What are your plans?

Jasmine its been a while, hope you are just busy! Check in with us!

Also Onelittlewish, how are you doing?

Anyone else out there?

This might be a better place so I’m crossing posting! [emoji4] Hello! I’m curious, did you guys track before trying? I’m nervous if I get off my bc I’ll get pregnant and not get a chance to really sway.
I’m also wondering, how do you know if you’re three days out from ovulation? Did you have to track to figure that out?
Thank you guys! I’m planning on swaying in April!

I've copied my response from your other post, Madi ;)
Hi Madi,

I did track for over a year so could identify patterns of what was "my normal" so to speak- knowing there will always be variations. The cycle I did fall pregnant I was caught off guard by a peak that arrived super early - so it was all hands on deck to get attempts in earlier than I thought LOL
The best thing you can do is track your temperature and use opks so that you can see that for example you get your peak opk 2 days before O (as confirmed by your temperature chart).
That way, you can estimate when your fertile window is and "plan" attempts accordingly.
Given you are not TTC'ing until april, provided you have regular cycles, then that should be ample time o know your cycle well for when attempt time comes - good luck!

That's so exciting - prepping for the nursery !!! YAY :D with Xmas around the corner, it won't be long afterwards before you have your baby girl so best take your time to prep and be sure about it hehe :)

My kids don't know about the baby yet - I'm not even 6 weeks yet. They do keep asking for a sibling, and I know they will be very excited.... :) Probably won't announce it to them until the NIPT and 12-week scan (to make sure all is tracking ok) - because once we do, you can be sure the whole world will know haha
So yes, will do the NIPT - did for my last 2 babes - it's nice getting the reassurance ... and gives me time to get my head around gender too, especially if not my DG. My husband has said, like he has for them all - that it'll be funny once I see that it's another little girl... *sigh*

I have however already got a spot with the midwifery group via the hospital - meaning I will have a named midwife there during pregnancy, labour and PP (rather than a random different midwife each time) ;) did that with my last two and it is much more personalised care :)

Onelittlewish - yes, haven't seen you post elsewhere either, please give us news, ladies!

Dan - join us too ;)

Hey,

sorry , I have been meaning pop in here .. caught up with clearing the house a bit and re-organising my wardrobe. I had nothing that fits me so I had to try few and keep them at front and put all the jeans and tight clothes aside and find some of my mat clothes from previous pregnancy.. but after doing all that.. I ended up with really bad sinus headache.. must be from breathing all the dust while clearing things [emoji24]. I couldn’t lift my head up for the past few days but feel little better today. So tired as well and I sleep half of the day and still sleepy enough to go bed at 9pm [emoji28].

How are you all doing ?

Good luck with your scan and NIPT test [emoji4][emoji4]. when are you planning to do it and does it take long for your results?

that’s really great that you get to pick ur midwife throughout your pregnancy appointment. it is really random here for us and I really do pray that I get a good one during labour as i have experienced both in my previous pregnancies.

how are you feeling so far with sickness ?

Yes the NIPT is a great test. I was so nervous to get mine back this time as last time it was not good news. Also this pregnancy is on the same cycle as our loss was last year. We are due April 4 and last year we were due for April 10.

That is so nice to have the same midwife! I am going to a special clinic this time as we had issues last time and my age LOL

I am glad you are doing OK Jazmin I hope you are feeling better soon though!

I have been having alot of headaches the last couple of weeks. I feel like i need a massage but my lady moved out of province so I need to find someone new and I keep putting it off LOL

So glad to read you here Jazmin - hope you feel better soon!
When is your 2nd trim scan planned? is baby moving more now?

I don't get to choose my midwife - they assign one to me - but she usually will be my go-to for the whole time (provided she is on call)... I will see if she is good, my previous midwife changed groups so wasn't available (They try to allocate the same midwife if you've had one with them before). So fingers crossed@
I hope you get a wonderful midwife assigned to you (I had random ones with my 2 first daughters, and during pregnancy it changes all the time and they weren't great...but got lucky during labour) - is your local hospital far away? I think with NHS you have the option to home birth too?

Thanks, the Unisom really takes the edge off so while I feel queasy, I am quite ok for now though know I am not at the usual peak for sickness haha

Oh no, headaches are the worst! are you taking anything for them at all? The hormones really do mess with everything! If it keeps happening please do see your Dr to check all is ok? have you had issues with blood pressure?
Did you end up finding someone for a massage? I think I will treat myself once a trimester - I have scoliosis so my back is screwed anyways LOL but pregnancy and relaxin make it all worse.

I go for my 6 week scan in an hour..so nervous!! :D
Update: there is one baby in there, with the heart flickering - meant to be about 6 weeks but measured small at 5w3d and have a SCH- so worried about it measuring quite behind...will likely have to have a check in about a week to see how we are tracking. This babe is keeping me on my toes already!

I am just normally prone to headaches so it's not too uncommon, this week has been better (knock on wood)

Sending love and positive energy that your little bean is all ok. Have any of your other children been small from the start? Keep us posted on how you are feeling and how next week goes!

Hope you avoid too many (if any at all) of these dreadful headaches - it really can be debilitating so FX for you!

My girls have always measured on date give or take a couple of days max - and am pretty sure of O/conception (would definitely have been 6w and up to 6w2d so this is quite behind)...the sonographer said the HR was normal for its size - 97bpm - so didn't seem too worried but still recommended a check in a week to make sure all is ok.
I've had haematomas before (with 2/4 of the girls) so that is not too worrying for me (yet) but just hoping this bean is a slow starter and there's nothing else to worry about - I'm trying to be stoic, and I know being panicked won't make the outcome better but can't help being quite anxious.

LMSM- isnt so lovely to see that little heart and sound of it beatinf [emoji7].. this is early scan right? .. dont worry .. it could also be late implementation… when will be your next scan??

Jazmin! Best news! :) I bet it definitely feels surreal to know that you are almost there and your SON will be there very soon… biggest congrats :D
It great that the medical personnel you’ve dealt with have been lovely so far :)
I was just asking about home birth because it seemed to be quite a normal thing to do :)
I have fast labours and wish DH would agree to HB but he’s been reluctant- so hospital it will be even though it’s a stress to get there on time haha

Joytna - congrats on your sweet baby boy! It seems that the blue swayers have all got their boys this year , crazy! Enjoy that sweet face :awe:

Treens - how are the headaches? Still keeping at bay? How many weeks are you now?

I saw my gp yesterday - looking at my chart I think implantation was on Sunday 24th of September ( 2 days before my bfp) so would have been 6weeks + at my scan Tuesday - so definitely measuring small :( I have a repeat scan on the 31st which is going to be feeling like eternity to be in limbo .

i know what you mean by the wait for the scan. my 20 weeks scan felt like forever. Dont worry .. I am sure everything is fine on the scan. [emoji3526] prayers for u xx.

Ah yes, I have read online many with home birth but dont know anyone in person to find out their experience.. especially in London. I booked for pool birth for first baby but I think they wont allow me for home birth or pool birth as I have history of BP during labour.

I also gave spontaneous birth for prev 2.. .. I am already freaking out thinking about it.. as I almost gave birth in the car last time [emoji23] it wasn’t nice [emoji24][emoji24] but on the positive note.. even though i opted for all the pain killers and pain relief in the world [emoji23][emoji23] i didn’t need anything or had time for it lol.
NHS wont give you a room unless u r 4cm dilated which is a big problem for people like me who give birth so quick. they sent me home and i came back straight away pushing the baby out.. and I was ssoo annoyed that they sent me back.. even after I broke my water. This time.. I am just gonna stay there no matter what.. no going back home !!

I have had precious 4 c-sections due to my first daughter being breach and choosing a 2nd one with my large son. So they will book me usually 1 week before I am due.

Joytna- what a sweet little guy!!! Thank you for the update :))

oh my goodness - I can so sympathise! like Treens said, I would camp out in the lobby until the team saw me & got me into a room haha I can understand they don't want to fill up labour rooms with people that aren't even in active labour but you have to trust your labouring women too...
Is it something you can have your midwife add to your file - "IF PATIENT SAYS SHE'S in ACTIVE LABOUR, THEN SHE IS AND GIVE HER A GODD*M ROOM"
LOL
I have had precipitous labours with all mine - with my 1st they didn't believe when I said I wanted to push "oh honey, you were only 4cm a few minutes ago"...lo and behold, baby was indeed crowning LOL
With my 4th I finally got a waterbirth, even with a very quick labour - because I left home as soon as had the first niggle, rang my midwife and she rang ahead for the team to fill up the tub (takes about 30 minutes!) -didn't spend a lot of time in water until my waters broke and out she came, but it was my best birth yet :D so if you can have it, definitely recommend it ;) hope you get a dream labour and birth with your sweet BOY!

LMSM- I hope the time goes quickly until your next scan and everything is all good. Try stay busy :) I have been good this week for headaches thank you :))

I am now 16 weeks so I have a little avocado inside me LOL Time is going quickly I feel as I am trying to book a winter vacation on a beach but feel like I need to do it soon so I am not traveling in my 3rd trimester. We will probably end up not going but a girl can wish lol

A sweet little avocado! :D
a beach winter vacation sounds heavenly - hope stars can line-up so you get it! any ideas of where you'd like to go? ^^
thanks - we luckily have a fair bit on - a week full of work deadlines (not fun but occupies me) - and this weekend, a Halloween party Saturday, my 8-year-old bday party Sunday (with all the planning of that ahead too) then it's only a couple of days more to wait by then. I'm hoping my DH can join me as I don't know how I'd cope if it's bad news :(

Sounds like you have your plate full it will keep you occupied definitely! I hope you DH can join too its nice if they can be involved :))

I wanted to go to Cuba but being pregnant, that is not the best Idea. So, we are thinking Mexico Puerta Vallarta possibly. I just want sand and virgin drinks and beautiful water and children that don't bother me heheheh.

Thank you for the invite to this chat! And congratulations Jazmin! I’ve been sick and fatigued since about 6 weeks. I am 9.5 weeks now. The anxiety and sadness and surprise around it all makes it worse. I feel like when I planned the pregnancies like the last couple, I had more control conceiving wise and I was happy to be sick- now I’m just a worried mess. I am going to start to see a pregnancy therapist that deals with all things reproductive with the mind. I need someone to talk to face to face other than my husband who although he is a great dad and husband, he is isn’t a therapist and it’s unfair to expect him to be.
I pray of course for a boy and that this baby doesn’t have any abnormalities. We already have a difficult road ahead with our Voss. ( he suffered a brain injury from a boating accident at only 9 months old). And I just want this nausea to end now. I feel like such a bad mom to my kids when I feel like this. Add that on top of the already feeling guilty and let me tell you, days feel like years.
How is everyone else feeling?

Welcome Dan1g1r1!
Don't stress too much as moms we are always thinking we are letting someone down because we do so much. But you are growing a new life and need to take the them you need for what you need. You are just as important as your children and more :))

Listen, if you go - can I come too? and our kids can just entertain each other?? HAHA would your older kids tag along? If so (in-built babysitters! ^^)
That said, here in Australia Xmas is a stinky hot middle of summer affair anyways - we're not going away over summer as my husband and I used up all our leave to go visit our family in France in July - but I reckon we will squeeze in a few beach days over Xmas. We're lucky that we're about an hour and a bit away (unless stuck in traffic) from the 1st decent beaches. Might bring virgin cocktails and let the hubby mind the kids while I snooze in the shade LOL

Wishing for a boy as we already have a girl [emoji3059] this pregnancy now feels so different to my daughter, not that that means much, I know hah!

My bump is enormous this time around, I looked like this at about 28-30w, never mind only 13 [emoji15] x

Dan - welcome!
For some reason your message didn't show when I last logged in!
It's great that you are seeing someone - will you do the NIPT to ensure all ok (and allow you to find out gender early)? Like I've told you before, you have a majority of boys so there's no reason why this little bean couldn't be one, too!
How is your little Voss doing?

Like you - feeling very much sick and am still in limbo about how the pregnancy is progressing - so much so I haven't had too much time to be anxious about gender ...

Welcome lrobb!
Haha - your uterus already "knows" pregnancy, so it tends to be extended faster and more each pregnancy - I dare not think of my bump this time around (5th baby!)... good think I had some padding left from my last pregnancy, may hide the bump in the fat padding LOL
There's been quite a high success rate for blue so let's keep our fingers crossed we will be getting blue, too!
When will you find out gender?

Perfect on all fronts, Treens!
I miss having cold winters and snow - it sounds so exciting! Just yesterday my 5-year-old complained she'd never seen snow (which she did, when she was like 2 months old so doesn't remember haha) - miss the cosy indoor time when it's cold and snowy outside or the cold but sunny days that are glorious - hope you enjoy your time away!

Remember it is hard now but things happen for a reason and over all we want a healthy baby, sometimes we have to wait a little longer.

So cool- I love uncommon names (though I’ve not convinced DH for my faves haha) …is it Persian origins?

Im really not sure lol I just love it. I had a student with the name and i instantly loved it and the has never happened. I never really like names. Had to really twist my husbands arm but it grew on him.

I am all ok here just usual pains and aches as we grow.. otherwise everything seems ok. I have a long gap after 5th month check up.. so haven’t had any check ups after my 20 weeks scan.

I am not getting any notifications from forums anymore so missing all the messages. Hope everyone is ok [emoji4][emoji4]

Hey.. lovely to hear back from you. I am sure the cycle will get back to normal soon.l for you. try to relax while you can and give yourself rest when needed. sleep and eat well and definitely go for a walk and be active. xx

Time is going a bit slow for me but yeah getting there slowly. No I haven’t got anything for the baby yet though I was tempted to buy some clothes and cute shoes but I thought to wait until boxing day sale. Also didn’t want more things added up in the house at the moment as I am going through everything and giving away to make some more space for the new arrival. I cant add anymore furnitures so I have to make some space with the furnitures i already have here. don’t need any big items as I kept my girls in the storage and they all are unisex in colour.. such as pram.. baby car seat.. crib.. swing etc so no shopping for these things. just need newborn basics like sleeping suit, body suit.. hat and mittens..and other essentials which ill get a bit later .. hopefully in sales [emoji16].

hows everyone else doing ?

I think clearing out before going shopping when the sales are on is an excellent idea - and then you can get all you need for your little boy without crowding the house ;)
