I had my blood drawn by a lab and tested for gender (Y) chromosone results were positive so that means boy. I had a ultrsound and got mostly girl votes. Its posted in the forum on here. Would you believe the blood or ultrasound?
I am skeptical of the blood because i have two boys and my youngest is two.

Its from a company online called prenatalgenetics i went to a lab had blood drawn then it was shipped to them they are in canada. They say that they test the plasma for y chromosone and you have to be at least 10 wks and a previous male preg can throw off results. I didnt find that out til after i got my results. It says 98 99% accurate or something similar to that. You can clearly see my nub but baby head was up a bit. Atomic will you look at it? Its on the ultrasound forum.

How far along were you when you did the test??
From what I have been able to find out, previous pg can only interfere with results when it was a very recent miscarriage, not 2 years past.

Unfortunately, 11 weeks is still quite early for an ultrasound.
I know of people who were told 100% girl at 20 weeks and still had boys - I'm sorry, just don't want you to get your hopes up and then be disappointed.

I had blood test done at 8 weeks which said it' a boy. The test promised 95% accuracy. It was in fact a girl (my DD2). I would not trust the blood test again.

I would NOT believe the blood test. I believe it's similar to Tell Me Pink Or Blue. They had A LOT Wrong for many women.

It's a new technology tho, not TMPOB. :( Seems to be much more reliable. Sorry Haven.

Oh I assumed it was the same since they also say they test using Y chromosome I think. I remember reading a lot of people were very upset (as well as happy) withe opposite results.
Prayn4haven - I would not completely stress over it until your scan. Hopefully it's wrong for you :)

I have a private scan on March1st. I would love for them to be wrong but i am prepared to hear boy.
I done some online research and found that (Y) chrom can stay in mothers body for several years in one case 27 years later. The test is more reliable for mothers of girls only. Still not getting my hopes up for a girl but wanted to share this info.
