Hi Girls
I've got my 12 week scan coming up on Monday and I'm looking through my paper work on it says I'm having a PAPPA test.
After going on Google Wiki shows me this ..
Pregnancy-associated plasma protein A

Does anyone know how they will do this test and what it involves?

it's a simple blood test that measures certain pregnancy related hormones and it's used in conjunction with the nuchal fold screening test to assess the risk for down syndrome.

You don't have to take it if you don't want to - at least in the US you can opt out of the test if you wish.

Just an update - After going for the 12/13 week ultrasound everything is looking great and both DH and I spoke to the Doctor and decided NOT to do this test.
