i have 3 gorgeous children, 2 boys 1 girl.
I adore them all. I started to pack up the baby bits and started giving them away but then I felt sad and had to stop! I don't know if this is because I am "meant" to have another baby or whether i just feel sad that that stage is over!
How do you know when you are "done" ?xxx

I have to be done after #4 because I will be really old (39). I also can't afford more. That's how I know!

This.. I think 4 is good for us. If I had both genders I would probably be done already.

Because I feel sorry for women who are pregnant now! Lol. Then, you know you're done!

I always figured that I'd get to a point where I would feel content with my family makeup and ready to move on from the baby stage. I'm kind of 1/2 way there already (I look at the bulkier baby items like the swing and wish I could get rid of them already) but I don't have my girl yet so I don't feel complete either... I don't really know, either.

People always tell me, oh you'll know when your family is complete. But I have 5 and I've never had the complete feeling. I am worried I'll always more.

I wish so much I could have another baby. I am so broody. But DH is done. So, all the baby gear is going and every time I give something away it breaks my heart a bit...

I feel the same way Somerlouise :( Just yesterday, I found my DDs old baby clothes and it made me tear up a little that she would be my last kid to raise.

My loves and somerlouise..that's how I feel....I have 3 and they are amazing but I started to the give away baby gear and had to stop. It may just be I'm not emotionally ready to let go...? I kind of feel done in so many ways...but it breaks my heart all at once!

Ours is more financial we want to travel and pay for college so it is one more for us and we are done.

It is financial for us, too. If money wasn't an object, we would go high tech and try for 2 girls. Because money is major for us, we may not even be able to have one more. DH always wanted 2 boys and 2 girls (he comes from a huge family and was raised by his grandmother who had 12 kids), but because money is such a major issue for us, it may never happen and we have both had to learn to be okay with that. :/ Sorry. That's probably not the answer you were looking for!

Financially we should stop at 3 kids, which is why our limit is 4. It really just depends on where we are after we have our 3rd.. I'm only pregnant with number 2 right now, so we have a while to figure it out!
