Yikes, found out today that I'll probably need to be admitted into the hospital on Tuesday when I get the first steroid injection. Apparently it can mess with my diabetes and I'll need to be monitored until Friday when I have the c-section.
9 days in hospital isn't what I wanted to hear! Oh well, it's all for the baby's benefit so I can handle it.

Oh my that's a long time in the hospital Kris! I'm glad they're being proactive and monitoring you. I hope you have a wonderful delivery!

Good luck to everyone trying this month! I've got to find something to occupy my time while I wait this cycle out.

I asked in the last thread, but I'll post here too. I'm pretty sure I feel AF about to start but I wonder if either Bee Pollen, Royal Jelly or RRL can extend your lp? My o date is uncertain this month (flat temps after pos opk) but if it's right then I gained another day in my lp.

Kris bummer about having to stay in hospital for that long. Will you have your own room? At least you will be getting all your meals delivered to your bed, i thought that was pretty good when i was in hospital when DD was born, but it can get quite boring hey. Do you have a good book to take with you?

b3blue i don't know about those supps effecting LP. Everyone is different too, so it may or may not effect you, i guess you just have to chart for a while to know for sure.

AFM - temps are back in the low range after AF, yippee :)

Yeah that's true, will probably be the first and last time I'll have breakfast in bed for a while lol. I'm not sure if I will have my own room. I have selected that on my paperwork but it all depends if there is a room free. If not I will share with 1 other woman. After the c-section I will have my own room though. Guess I should go out and buy a book or something, I did buy internet access so at least I can get online if I'm that bored.

Happy Birthday Skrimpy!! Yay for reaching 10 weeks 5...only 30 to go, you are 1/4 done!!

I am dying waiting for O...I will make first attempt on Sunday night (2 more sleeps), then Monday night and Tuesday night. I hope thats not too frequent?? I just really don't want to miss is this month! I really feel like I missed O last cycle. I am pretty sure that test that everyone said wasn't positive yet (on Monday) actually was and I O'ed on Tuesday and not Wed...meaning DH coming home was 1 day too late. FF has adjusted my O day to tuesday and I think it's right based on when AF showed up. Not to mention that I had hardly any of my own EWCM wed and relied on preseed.

Good luck everyone!!

For the past 2 years, since my last pregnancy loss my body has been kind of backwards and I get PMS when I am ovulating rather than before my period. Does anyone else ever get this? Makes it hard to get pregnant if you get sad, teary and argue as lot when TTC...lol

Flava
March 4th, 2012, 09:46 AM
PP- I don't have that but I also never really had PMS ( or just very mild) till recently and it sucks ! OMG like 2 months ago I was like everything is so bad hopeless ect. I don't care and all. A BFP would be nice so i don't have to deal with it lol.

Ok so this lace is so quiet everyone is on vacation or what??

Princess of Pink
March 4th, 2012, 03:25 PM

PoP, well that sucks, i know what you mean, i used to get PMS bad the week before AF, but now i am on EPO it seems to be less intense. Our poor OH's cop it hey... Just keep your goal in mind, and try try try not to let PMS take you down.

Hi! How are you all doing? Already March! I got my period 10 days earlier my last cycle and now it is time for O again. Im not sure if it has already been though. The tests says no, but the body shows a lot of signs. So Im not even sure if i am ovulating this month. But i sure hope so. Im still breastfeeding so i think that could mess upp the cycle a little bit. Has it ever happened to any of you that the opk test showed negative but you still ovulated?

Hi! Yes it is strange..I hope it get positive soon so I can stop being worried. It's just strange because the tests are stronger some day and more weak some other. It has never happened before. I just hope the BF won't make it impossible to get pregnant. My daughter is big now, 1,5 years but she still wants to bf during the nights and some times in the day.

Hi girls, everything is going ok....steroids are making my blood sugar levels go higher than usual but so far my highest is 9.1 about an hour ago. If it goes about 10 I need insulin or an IV to bring it back down. I guess I'll see after dinner how it goes, the effects don't usually kick in for hours later. The 1st one hurt a lot! Made my face and chest all red and hot so I look like a tomato today lol. Oh well, as long as bubs lungs get the effect it's all worth it. I bought internet with me so I'm not too bored, plus the midwife gave me some stuff to read and suggested I express some colostrum to store in the fridge. I tried that today and got .3 of a ml. Not a lot but it was my first go so I will try again after a warm shower. If I can get enough of it bub won't need formula so I'm hoping it keeps on comin!
I should be going home tomorrow, will be nice to get some rest in my own bed before coming back Friday for the birth.
I'll probably be too excited/nervous to sleep though! Only 2 more days, all these babies in here are making me clucky and really wanting to meet our bub :)

Princess of Pink
March 7th, 2012, 02:26 AM
I never get an OPK where the test line is equally as dark or darker. Yet I am 100% sure I O every month. It's bloody confusing to be honest!! I would class my opk as + on Monday at 10am....was negative Monday night (I think I drank way too much and watered it down too much), then + again this morning....but negative now. Cervix was soft high and open this morning but now at 3pm is low and firm again...CM is creamy now too. By looking at my chart I would say I will get the big temp rise tomorrow morning.

But to be honest some people wouldn't class my tests as positive...maybe I have less LH than the average person maybe? But the whole rest of the month they are stark white or a line only a POAS addict would ever notice! So I think I either O'ed last night (TUE) or this morning (WED) which seems identical to last month. Which was why I missed O when DH didn't get home until Wed during the day. Fingers crossed I actually have a chance this month!!

Cinss
March 7th, 2012, 04:08 AM
PoP what kind of tests are you using? It is a shame that you have never seen the second line darker than the control line, that is really great when you see it, it's like All systems GO. I was asking the same questions about OPKs last month because i didn't get a +, but everyone assured me that you can't dilute LH with water or ural or anything.

Princess of Pink
March 7th, 2012, 04:44 AM
I have played with them for about 6 months now and I am yet to see it that dark, I don't believe I haven't ovulated in that time. Back when TTC#5 I also never saw it get as dark or darker...

A friend at work is ttc and has used my op.'s and she gets a dark + but I never seem to???

Mine get this dark max..

LH (the hormone the opk tests for) is more concentrated in urine later in the day. They say to test between 12pm and 10pm for best results. However, I have gotten +opks with FMU and early morning (2nd MU) pee.

After everything this week....I am pretty sure I O'ed today...2 days late....My OPK's have been weird and I think my body tried to O on Tuesday....but succeeded today Thursday. I wasn't getting a true +....but my temp plummeted this morning and I got a + with FMU and at 10am. I had cramps mid morning and late this arvo along with HSO cervix and EWCM.

It really messes with your head!!! I want a baby already....with working full-time and 5 kids to look after mostly on my own with DH away for work a lot....I don't have time to keep doing this much longer!!

kris-sorry about the shots...why would the midwife tell you to express milk before birth? It can start labor right? I never heard of this.

I've read that too but so far it hasn't caused labour for me. Got a few little syringes of colostrum for bub, will be good if she's in the special care nursery and I can't breastfeed her, and it will mean no formula hopefully.

kris- good luck love! Why do you think baby have to go to the special care nursery? Hopefully not! OMG it's so different being pregnant and actually holding the baby you will love it so much! And don't forget to smell her head all the time! Nothing like a newborn smell!! And it only last for a couple days.Wish i have that smell forever!

Hi! I have heard that some women never get a positive test even though they do ovulate. I've also heard that for some women its enough to change the testing time of the day. I usually get positive but this month it has been all weird. Still hoping though;-)

I give up!! My cycle is usually like clockwork. I get AF every 4 weeks on the same day and have for 2 years....a saturday morning. Then the cycle before last I O'ed on a wed and therefore got AF on a wed...but the next cycle was perfect again and I got my AF 4 weeks later on a wed. I have no damn clue what has been going on?? I thought I had a + opk on tue, wed....but then it got slightly darker (the darkest I have seen yet) on thursday! Cervix was HSO and I had heaps of EWCM, cramps, etc...then I woke this am to the darkest opk i have EVER gotten...still as dark at 9am after only an hour hold...crampy as today. So snuck in another attempt this morning.

Maybe my body tried to O earlier in the week....but is Oing today/tomorrow?? I have NEVER EVER had the test line darker than the control...it is normally a shade lighter and thats as dark as it gets. Today it's darker and shows instantly...no waiting!

dloui sorry for you bfn, your still in the game though, and i think the cooling on the jewels is supposed to be done just before dtd.

LolaInLove
March 14th, 2012, 04:51 PM
No, we certainly aren't using any protection! This past month, we ended up dtd when I was super in the mood, which so happened to be on CD13 and CD14 (I was doing a little experiment and did not record it until later....I just marked my calendar to see if my horny days coincided with O). And my DH held it in for over a week (from what I know!), but we are not actively trying. I am not taking tests or anything, or assuming that I will get pregnant, just dtd when we feel like it. I am thinking of trying this hcg diet with the drops (not the shots) and getting this tire off my waist before summer. Thanks, though, Flava! I will try to keep up and answer questions here though. Lord knows I swayed both hard-core and laid-back for a couple of years and have tried many things so hopefully I will help someone!!! I am actually finding it easier to think about not ttc anymore with starting to think more about donor sperm as an option in a year or so. I have started that research process. It is something we can afford, and if we can get over the emotional part, I think something worth considering more. Heck, if you would adopt a baby in a heartbeat, why not use donor sperm?

Hi ladies, I posted this in the Blue Crew Grads thread, but thought I'd post it here, too!

I had my 20 week ultrasound this afternoon. My baby boy is still a BOY and growing well, BUT right now I'm terrified. The Doctor told me that my placenta is a 'little low' I have to go back in 3 weeks for another scan and also I will get an MRI next week I have had 2 previous c-sections scars and Doctor said placenta can grow into it. I was told not to lift anything heavy and not have sex, it can cause bleeding. I am so scared, and freaking out about it.

Has any one else has had this problem? Please give me some infor.on it. How did you get on with this condition and what should I expect - is it bad?

Here's some pics of my sweet baby boy :babym: :awe:

Lola-if you realllllly want another baby I think you should use donor .Is there is no way to use IUI or something else with DH then he need to see what is better no baby or a baby with donor. Does he has a brother? Just asking because I know ppl ask brothers or sisters fro donor sperm and egg .I think that's so special.
What is this hcg drops ?

Lola - I think it's a healthy attitude that you have. Donor sperm sounds like a great idea if you can get your hubby on board. I used the HCG (injections) to loose weight. The diet stinks, lol! It's really hard on your body and your energy levels are almost 0. That being said you loose a ton of weight very quickly.

Kris, your baby is soooo adorable! How awesome she loves the bath already!! So precious, and love the hair...i always have bald babies!

Lola, I think donor sperm would be a great option in the future. I think the experience of him raising a baby, of you two together with a baby would be an fantastic!

MFC, that sounds very scary...Eek! I've never had that issue before but I have had two C-sections....Taking it esay is prob. the best course of action, and it's good that you'll be mointored so they can keep tabs on it. I hope it rises the next time they see you, and I hope that everything goes well :) So happy to hear that he's been confirmed a boy again!

I'm not finding out what I'm having until 19 weeks (13 weeks now), but if I do end up with hearing "boy", will this group adopt me?

I am actually finding it easier to think about not ttc anymore with starting to think more about donor sperm as an option in a year or so. I have started that research process. It is something we can afford, and if we can get over the emotional part, I think something worth considering more. Heck, if you would adopt a baby in a heartbeat, why not use donor sperm?

Lola, your DH shouldn't mind the donor sperm if he is okay with adoption. AT least that way, he is still part of the baby's entire development process, and he can watch you get bigger and talk to your tummy, etc. I think that would be a great option for you two!! I hope he goes for it. I wish things were easier for you.... your siggy makes me sad. :( I don't think the low sperm count has "won"--I just think it is making you find a new path. And who knows--maybe a donor is going to be the easiest, best choice for you!

KRIS! What a little beautiful angel!!!!!!! She is simply gorgeous!

3P1B, I would be spoiling the heck out of a baby myself, so consider that Charlie just can't help being spoiled by all his mommies. He is darling, too!

Flava, like Foxy was saying, the HCG diet is one where you take HCG (like a synthetic form of the prego hormone) and eat a 500 calorie a day diet for like a month or so. You can lose 20-30lbs in a month. The hormone makes your body target your fat stores first, so you end up losing the hard-to-get-off fat really well, and it supposedly makes you not as hungry also. The diet does seem like hell, and I am not looking forward to it if I go through with it. Foxy, I may pm you about it and get your personal take!

Thanks, everyone, for all the kind words. You know, when life hands you lemons, you gotta just make vodka lemonade out of it, right? When you have a meager budget, it is hard to think about your options with infertility. There are so many what ifs also......what if we just kept trying? But also, what if my eggs run out while we do that? When I look at our life, I don't see anything but good stuff surrounding having a baby with DS. There are some emotional things that have to get settled in our hearts before we do that, like the obvious of my DH being ok with it as a man (although he raises my girls like his own and doesn't love them any less, of course, I want him to be 100% ok with it and feel like the baby is his)....then there is the issue of if we tell the kid about the DS some day, do we tell other people? Do we just go about life and act like he/she is our own bio child? Of course, we'd pick a donor who looked like DH so that is a possibility. I don't think we could use his brother's sperm.....that is just too weird for me. I want the donor to be completely anonymous, and for it to be closed so the kid never tries to "find" his bio father, kwim? Anyway, I know you all are swaying and pg and all that stuff, but I hope I provide a bit of perspective on this site.....be so so SO grateful for the beautiful babies you all have and are about to create. I would give anything for us to have a biological child that is both ours, boy or girl.

On a different note, MFC, your little man looks handsome already! Try not to freak out.....millions of women have placenta issues and thank goodness for modern medicine- it will get you through it. Do take care of yourself and know that your son will be just fine!

Thanks, Aurora and Bec- I don't want to make you guys sad! I just don't want anyone to have GD ever, so I want to inspire you guys to be totally happy with your baby regardless of gender, ya know? And truthfully, I NEVER thought I'd be one of those infertile ones....I never really gave it a thought in my life, and just assumed that I would get pg in a heartbeat with my new DH. I was way overconfident in my ability to get pregnant and also super obsessed with making a boy. My perspective has changed a ton, so I hope I can help influence you all to not fret as much if you don't get your boy.

I am kinda afraid to start talking about the donor sperm thing with my DH, to be honest.....and by the way, so don't mean to hijack this thread with infertility talk!!!!!......but it is a big step, and there are a lot of things to mull over. Like you said about your friend, Bec, I think I would rather just never tell anyone, but I worry that is totally dishonest to the child. Would you be upset never knowing that the man you call your father isn't actually your biological father but you came from a frozen sperm pop? I might start a thread asking opinions. Anywho.....we'll see......a small part of me still hopes that we end up as one of those stories where it goes, "And we tried and tried, and then were about to order vials of donor sperm and then I found out I was pregnant that morning!"

TTC5, I am going to scope out your baby now!!!!! I am so glad everything looks perfect!!!!!

Lola-them maybe this HCG would not be for me because I don't loose weight when I BF.

Well, I don't either....but I think the HCG does 2 things- helps curb your appetite while you have a 500 cal a day diet for a month and also makes your body target your hard to lose fat stores better.....because when you have HCG in your system, your body thinks it is feeding a baby constantly, and there is some mechanism with the human body where it will delve into your thigh and belly fat (the bad fat, not your "good" fat) first to both nourish the baby and keep your body from deteriorating. That is the methodology behind it. Makes sense to me, because mother nature has a way of working well in situations where you can't eat because you have m/s but your baby still gets plenty of nutrition- your body is feeding your baby from your extra unneeded fat stores instead of stealing from your system. At least, this is what I understand from all of my reading about it online. Flava, maybe something to try after your baby comes? I am thinking of trying it for a few months while I prep our minds and hearts for the possible IUI with donor sperm thing (and save money for it).

OK..I had a temp dip today at 12dpo...BFN this morning so I am writing off this cycle! Next cycle I am leaving out the BSF completely cause I can't see why I wouldn't get a BFP using preseed and DTD O-3, O-2, O. When every other time I have TTC I got BFP first go with a lot less attempting (only 1 time in the cycle for my last 5 pregnancies). So it has to be BSF messing stuff up for me. Hi Lola, if u really go down the donor sperm path, what you can try is mixing your DH's sperm with the donor vile and then iui. Many docs do that. That way you would have a chance with it being ur own and you would never know for sure that its not DH for sure. The bulk sperms with donor could help push ur DH's sperm ahead...
u don't have to tell no-one...not even the child or others as u do not know for sure too. it can help u have mental peace and self justification. just my 2 cents....GL to you and still hope it happens naturally though...

POP - Yeah skip the bsf, I did 1 30 minutes prior to our attempt but don't think it made any difference. Swaying can add stress to ttc therefore making it take a bit longer. FWIW of my 6 pregnancies 5 were OHW the other was Charlie :)

Lola - I had a friend who was ttc for over a year had a m/c and a few months later finally agreed to try fertility meds. She'd been spotting so filled the rx and put it in her purse, spotting stopped and 2 days later she got her BFP. Olivia just turned 10. FX the same thing happens for you if you decide to go the donor route.
Oh and I like the mixing sperm idea!

I also love when you post here.Wouldn't be the same if you are gone.
And you DH is right he wants his OWN baby not some one else's. I know others said to mix sperm is a good idea , I would not do that because it would make me crazy and soon or later I want to know who is the dad.
