So if history holds, I have about 2 weeks where I can eat just about anything. Then, I won't want to eat anything and what I do eat doesn't like to stay in me.... I was on the LE diet for 5 months and feel pretty deficient. Atomic or others - what are the most important nutrients/foods I should get in me now while I still can?

Thanks!

I can tell you what I would do but I am by no means an expert! I would probably make sure to get in tons of leafy greens, flax oil and some protein... Almond butters etc!
I hope you don't get sick:(
My doctor told me that my low iron and low cut b12 would orobably make my nausea worse so my plan is to try to up those quickly so maybe I don't feel so bad?!?

Great question!! Nuts, fish (no more than 2x a week), 2 eggs every day, red meat, full fat dairy! Bright colored fruits/veg if you have any room left!!

COD LIVER OIL - check the vitamin content and make SURE it is from a natural-based and reputable source... atomic will probably pipe in and say watch your VitA intake, so do some research on this but I am CONVINCED that VitA/D/omega3 are power preggo nutrients... check out this link: Vitamins for Fetal Development: Conception to Birth - Weston A Price Foundation (http://www.westonaprice.org/childrens-health/vitamins-for-fetal-development-conception-to-birth) - and when you get past the morning sickness, you can start up again on the cod liver oil! I have a gazillion ways of taking it to make it taste good, PM me if you are interested, can you tell I live for the stuff (and of course I am not taking it right now b/c I am on the LE diet ugh)

Oh and be sure to get some iodine - seafood and iodized salt, or else some prenatals have it.

Zinc is another thing you may be a bit low on - prob in your prenatal tho

I'd start taking a pregnancy multivitamin straight away. I've taken one containing omega 3 since the day after I got my BFP and my 7 week blood test didn't come back that I was iron deficient so I'd say it's working in restoring my supplies.

So my plan to eat as much as possible for 2 weeks apparently was a smashing success! LOL! I had not weighed myself since my bfp and I ate seafood, burgers, chicken, greens, flax, etc. I weighed myself yesterday and I gained TEN pounds!!!! Crazy!! I had lost 22 on the LE diet and my bmi was only 22 when I started the diet so its ok but geesh! Yesterday was my first day of ms though so now nothing sounds good and I had to force myself to eat so at least I have a cushion!

That is what happened to me after I got pg with DS 4 and I just want to reassure you, altho I did gain a lot with him (over 70 lbs) I lost it all after I had him and it was actually my easiest post pg weightloss.
