I am over swaying....just saying lol. It's been messing with my cycles and the control freak in me does NOT like not knowing what is happening and when it is happening!! I have no idea now when I will even ovulate this month and normally I know within a 2-3 day timeframe.

Hi. Just joining gender dreaming. I've tried a boy type diet for last 2 months and know within a day when I normally ovulate. Hope to now add wheatgrass and brewers yeast supps as been told those are good - I have three weeks until my attempt is that long enough for them to have an impact? Thanks for any help, I have two girls and this will be our last child so would love to sway blue if I can (tried and failed with Shettles for DD2). Any good tips from those who have managed to sway blue after a couple or more pink would be appreciated!

Welcome chitchat123:)

what is utd?

Cinss
April 1st, 2012, 11:06 PM
Hi chitchat, welcome :) I actually read a lot about shettles method before i found this site, there are so many ladies who got opposites using that metod, that i just don't believe in it anymore. I believe diet has the biggest impact on swaing, and for boys the general rule is eat healthy, lots of nutrients, keep blood sugars pretty even through out the day and you will have a good shot.

dloui - 8dpo is so tough, cant we either have symptoms or not !!! When are you going to test? and utd = Up The Duff (i think?)

POP - hang in there, i am over it too, and quite sad because in my mind i was supposed to be 4 months pg by now!!!

I'm good thanks. Just a bit frustrated having to wait for AF. I know I should probably give myself time to heal physically and emotionally but I am so ready to start trying again. If I haven't got AF in 2-3 weeks I am going to take Primolut to induce it.

Plum3

PoP, arghh I hate swaying too. I can't wait til we can finally stop for good!

chitchat, welcome :) I would start the supps, they definitely won't hurt. And if you don't fall pregnant this cycle then you will have them on board for the next.

dloui, your temps look great still. Being flat means nothing, it just means you are having consistent temps. Why are you worried about them being flat? When are you testing?

Love you for saying that PoP, but in all honesty I really do think AF is coming, I have bad cramps and bloating and hot flashes

Cinss
April 2nd, 2012, 06:35 PM
chitchat, i think it was me that told you to get the brewers yeast in your introduction thread. The reason is because it provides the body with a number of essential vitamins and minerals including zinc and vitamin B, which are really great for ttc not only for you but your partner too. It can cause gas if you take too much at the start, did you get tablets or powder?

I must be having a hormonal moment because I want to pack my bags and move to the TTC a Girl forum.....I have the overwhelming urge to go on a diet and drink my body weight in diet coke!!! Why can't I be swaying for a girl? It's not fair....I hate meat and love diet coke and carbs and that feeling you get when on a diet....I miss being hungry!!!! I feel fat and disgusting...I fantasise about dieting!! I am sick of V8 and I am finally over swallowing enough sups a day to 'vitaminize' a small asian country! I hate temping....I'm tired....woke up this morning an hour after my temp alarm with a thermometer sticking out of my vagina because I fell asleep after I put it in....Lucky it records the temp for the next time you turn it on!!

I work next to the local hospital and there is just a small ramp across to the maternity floor....maybe I could steal a boy baby in my lunch break and not have to bother swaying...at least I would get to pick a cute one and it would definitely have a penis!!

Chitchat - welcome! I had a successful sway after 3 girls, my little guy is almost 2 months old! What kind of boy diet have you been on? Read up on the high everything diet, I fully believe it's your best bet. GL and lots of blue dust!

Dloui - fwiw I had no symptoms and was positive af was on her way when I got my bfp! FX!

Awe ladies I know swaying is tough but stay at it. Maybe drop a sup or two or lighten up on your diet a touch. I'd hate for you to drop it all and regret it later. Fx for speedy bfp's!!

Hey ladies, I miscarried in January and we are finally ready to start ttc again. Seems like the last two months have taken forever to get here. I am back on the diet (much to my dismay, I was soooo glad to be done temping and eating chips and drinking green tea w/bak soda). So I am back. Hopefully we will have some BFP's this month! GL to all!

Hi. Thanks all for you advice. I have been eating lots of reat meat, crisps, chips, fruit etc but cutting back on dairy and wheat based items. This was more of an IG diet as I started reading info on there before I found this website. Is this OK for swaying blue or should I just be eating lots of everything? If I should instead be having high everything is there enough time for a change in diet to have an impact inc. 3 weeks or should I delay TTC? I read comments on protein and carbs at meals to keep blood sugar constant and that's great advice that makes sense.

Worried after TTC blue last time on Shettles and ended swaying pink that I want to do things differently this time to increase my chances, would love a blue / pink really but be great to try to sway blue if we can :-)

Re: BY I have got the tablet form, hope will work OK, do they sway blue to just improve chances in general TTC?

I am hoping to get my husband taking Zinc and BY - any advice if this is what's needed?

Dloui - Can't wait to hear about your test tomorrow, goodluck.

Hopeful - Welcome back, best of luck for April !!!

Chitchat - High nutrients sways boy, that is why BY is recommended for us (tablets are great much easier than the powder). Your diet sounds fine so far, i think the main difference between the IG diet and the HE diet is on the HE calcium is alowed (full fat milk, cheese etc) It's great that your Hubby is on board with your sway, mine also takes Zinc.

hope.ful, welcome back. I miscarried a few weeks ago so know exactly how you feel about starting the diet and supps again. I was so glad to be able to stop them and now, bam, back on them again.

chitchat, most of us on here eat the HE diet including full fat dairy. Get DH to take BY and Zinc too if he will.

Bec - are you close to O? Will you try this month?
POP - how far off are you from O?

Plum3
April 4th, 2012, 12:34 AM
I have no idea when I will O, if it all. When I do O on my own it's usually late in a cycle. I'm supposed to wait until AF shows next and then my fertility specialist wants me to call him. But I'm going to take Primolut to induce AF otherwise who knows how long I will be waiting. I think he will let me do another Clomid cycle and then if that doesn't work, move onto injections. So I will wait another few weeks and then if there is no sign of O I am going to induce AF.

Princess of Pink
April 4th, 2012, 02:13 AM
POP - how far off are you from O?

After last cycle I have no clue. I have noticed that my cervix is starting to move up and get softer...getting little bits of EWCM and the line is starting to fade in on the cheapie OPK's. I have my fingers crossed that I will have a normal cycle this time. I have tried to not obsess as much this cycle which has been easy because I am SO busy and stressed at work (good for the old testosterone) so other than my temp I am not charting like a mad woman this cycle. I have also cut out the ural and the diet has become a habit now so I'm not stressing that I am eating the right things. I think it's having a positive effect on my cycle. We leave for camping in the wilderness for a week and a half, tomorrow morning and I will O either late this week, on the weekend or early next week. So fingers crossed I come home with a bun in the oven!!

I will be charting on FF and will try and sync it with my phone if we come into town to buy supplies so if your interested just check my link below and see whats happening.

Just want to wish you all the best of luck with your attempts...I hope the easter bunny brings you all fertilised eggs!!!

Hi. Thanks all for your help whilst I am just starting out on this site. I have been doing the diet for 2+ months now including Green Tea, Folic Acid and EPO + Vit E with other diet changes. I realise now I need to add Brewers Yeast - I have started taking this today but does it allow enough time to havee an impact if I want to try this coming month - AF not yet arrived so 2-3 weeks until TTC next slot?

I notice a new posting in the thread that suggests BSF does not help concieve i.e. easier without - what's the general opinion on Baking soda drink / douche / BSF?

Thanks!

Best of luck to all and great to see when people have a + result, hope you all get a really good chance at getting what you are after :-) i.e. lots of blue....

I think the yeast can help, can't hurt, so keep taking it. As far as the BS, I did both the drink and the BSF and it didn't keep me from getting a BFP. I know a lot of other ladies have dropped it, though.

I was swaying for 4 months and used the BSF each time until this last attempt. I wasn't crazy about the way it felt and I wassn't getting pregnant, so this last try I didn't do it and just got my BFP today. I think its personal preference though, if you want to try it go for it if not then don't.

chitchat - yes i think you will be fine ttc as soon as you are ready, 2 months on the diet is fantastic, and the BY is just going to give you that extra little edge. I have never done the BSF and i am ttc for the 5th time this month, it is really up to you if you want to do it, if you are hardcore swayer go for it, and i belive that the drink only changes the ph of your urine.

Thank you!

Happy Easter

I'm not an expert at raising PH since I never tested mine, but I believe the BSF will raise your PH. I relied on my own EWCM and preseed during my attempts and since preseed I believe has a ph of 7 then I am guessing my CM was around a 7 during attempts

Hobbermittens
April 6th, 2012, 05:52 PM
Drinking URAL, or Alka Seltzer Gold (which ever is available where you live) is supposed to help with pH. I drank ASG 2x a day and BSD 1x a day and ACV drink 1-2 x a day all month long for months on end, and my pH was only at about a 7 when we conceived. I donlt know how people get their pH any higher than that. I just couldn't!

TTC5
April 6th, 2012, 06:00 PM
Yeah Ph is over rated IMO. Much better to focus on nutrition I say :)

Cinss
April 6th, 2012, 06:18 PM
Chitchat - Your PH will go up higher than that naturally when you are in your fertile window. If you really want it up much higher, you could mix some BS with preseed and insert it 30 mins before your attempt.

Hi ladies, just catching up with all of the action!

Sorry I have been missing... DH and I went to look at a house and really fell in love with it. It's bank-owned but in great condition. We put in an offer but our agent has told us there are multiple offers in. I'm sure ours is not highest, but our agent says we may have a chance because we have a large down payment that other buyers may not. Please keep it in your prayers for us, ladies, the house is perfect and it's on a nice plot of land which has long been our dream to have!

Also, DH has said maybe a September baby next year would be nice, which means TTC a little earlier than I thought we would :D. Getting moved into a new house will also make that much more likely to happen.

Honor is doing great, here's a recent pic. After all the GD in my pregnancy, she is truly the light of my day, every day! I could not be more blessed, even with all her grumpiness! Her smiles melt everything away!

Whats your plan for this cycle? :)

I actually don't have a plan anymore, my plan for the past 4 months have failed. I am kind of taking a leaf out of your book and almost giving up on swaying. We had so many bills etc lately that i have basically run out of supps except for folic acid, vit D and fish oil :( DP and i have been stressed and fighting more than normal, so our every second day BD routine has gone out the window :( And on top of that when i am stressed i don't eat, so guess what i haven't been doing? Oh well i have come to terms with my sway failing, i was actually swaying boy for DP because he has 3 daughters and i only have 1, so i would actually love another daughter, but right now i would just love to be pg, but if the fighting continues that just isn't going to happen this time either :(

Sorry your having a rough time of it atm Cinss, we've got dire finance problems atm aswell, mortgage company 48hrs away from starting reposession but luckily we are due a healthy cheque in the next few days so we can clear half of our arrears with them so securing the house again, its just mainly been bad money management on my part, I wrote it all down and cancelled everything we didn't need, swapped suppliers, rang the banks who were actually really helpful?!! Cinss, I hope things get better for you and your DP. Stress is awful during swaying--my DH and I rarely fight (we bicker often, but no yelling or being hurtful) and we had 2 really huge FIGHTS during the months we were swaying. We haven't had a fight since we had our BFP.

ELP, I totally understand the money issues! We are there too. DH is finally getting work again, so hpefully things will get better for both of us!

Hey everyone. Hope you all had a Happy Easter :)

chitchat, when I first started the diet and supps I bought a ph tester and was so paranoid about trying to get my pH up. Now, I couldn't care less and I don't think it matters at all. Preseed should bring it up to a 7 anyway so I would just try that.

Skrimpy, what a gorgeous little girl you have there! Fingers crossed you get the house. I was actually thinking about you the other day. I've been doing tupplers (made me think of you!) and thought I would recheck your blog and see how you're doing. Are you still wearing the support belt? I'm going to get my butt into gear and buy the belt and book as the exercises themselves aren't doing much.

Cinss, sorry to hear things are so tough for you right now. I am in total agreeance with the swaying stuff. I feel bad for DH because he still thinks I am doing the diet hard core. I am so over it at the moment. I just want a baby.

ELP, hopefully things get better for you guys soon too! And you might be back here again soon?!

I've been having a lot of cramps the last few days, not sure what's going on there. Still getting strong + hpts. Only time in my life I want to see negatives! (oh apart from when I'm testing out the hcg trigger).

Hey everyone,

Skrimpy, Honor is a doll! Will be KFX you get the house!!! And exciting that you may be ttc earlier than you planned!

ELP, so sorry for the money stresses.....I think a ton of us have been there or are there now.....just take it one day at a time and get things resolved the best you can, and thank goodness for the money you know is coming in, right? Hope David and kids are all well! xoxo

Cinss, I think that there may be certain things you can see fit to drop if you are not conceiving. I'm not sure what your current plan is (and if you want to lay it out, I can tell you what I'd drop), but I wouldn't start getting concerned just yet.....another few months and I would maybe get an appt with your doctor to just check things out. Did you conceive your others easily? And by the way, SO not meaning to freak you out....sometimes it just takes time to get pg....I know tons of friends who took up to a year and it just was that way.

Kris, your profile photo is so cute!!! I love the red theme! She is adorable!

Stinks that you have to wait that long to ttc, Bec.....wonder why your body is still so full of hcg? I guess it hasn't been that long. I'm sorry, honey. I know waiting is hard especially when you want to jump back on it right away.

Chitchat, my opinion is that the baking soda is not necessary. The whole purpose is to raise your ph, which has been dis-proven as something that sways. When you drink it, it is supposed to change your ph from the inside out, which affects your cm ph more, and the finger is to give your vag a little ph boost when dtd. Thing is, ph doesn't sway, so it's not really worth it. IF you really want to try it and are hard-core like someone else mentioned, you can, but it does burn your cooch a little and it really isn't that good for you. Baking soda is not meant for humans to consume large amounts of. There have been lots of boy moms here who tested ph like crazy and theirs was low....it just isn't consistent enough evidence to really matter. Both sperm thrive in a 7-ish ph, but can do just fine in lower ph. Personally, I think it can kill the sperm when you put it up the vag with the finger sometimes, which is no good.

POP, how are you doing?

Flava, I bet you just had one of those fluke little bleeds that is no big deal, thank goodness!!!!!

I haven't wanted to drop anything really you can see what i have been doing on my blog, the things i have dropped from there are EPO and Ural, i just have run out of most of my supps and can't afford to restock if you know what i mean, so for this month i am only taking fish oil, folic acid, vit D. Eating eggs for breakfast, bananas and red meat, i know my sway has fallen off the wagon, and i am ok with it. The first time i fell pg 1st month trying i didn't even have 1 period after coming off the pill, that ended in a m/c unfortunatly, then the next time i fell pg first month trying, so i guess i just thought it would work out the same way, but i know it can take much longer.

Oh, I'll check out your blog....I am bad about reading those! Well, I really think that what you are doing is still good, and you aren't taking anything crazy or too much of it. Trust me, I know how it feels to think it will happen easily. I got pg without even ttc with the girls, and then 2 years of nothing now except a couple m/c. I think it's a good idea to relax a bit and see what happens, and then maybe think about the doctor in another few months. So not trying to freak you out, just think the doc can give you some peace of mind and reassure you that it can take a while sometimes.

Bec, nothing like having to wait! Sorry, hun. I never tested mine after the 10wk m/c, but we waited 3 months to ttc again, so I bet it was gone by then. Well, obviously it was since I've had nothing but bfns since then. :sigh: Are you going back on Clomid and all in a couple months? I'm good, just waiting for DH's appt with the urologist on the 20th and we'll see what our options are for the natural ttc for now. I am hoping he gives him some man Clomid and that helps the count. I'm a little worried what that will cost since he'd have to take 1 a day all month, and I remember mine was $30 for just 5 pills, but eh, I guess we'll cross that bridge after the appt.

Flava, I'm sorry you still have it.....have you gone to the doc? Not to be Little Miss Go-To-the-Doctor today, but maybe they could do an u/s and just give you some peace of mind too?

Ehh no and the midwife is telling me to use sea-band and stupid things like that. Nothing like this ever help me. Im sure she really don't have any idea about real m/s or she would give me some damn mads!
Anyway Im only going with the birth center because I don't have a choice! I switched to the last time so I don't have to have a c/s and same reason I go there again.

Not surprised your mw is giving you only natural stuff! The sea bands worked alright for me. I just had to take a nap everyday and eat little bits here and there and I ate a lot of ginger candies and such. I never took the drugs either, but should have with #1 because I lost 15lbs by 14wks and wanted to just be put out of my misery. My doc was trying to tell me then that I had to gain a pound a week or I'd go in the hospital, and I was like WHERE IS THE PHENERGREN, B!t&H? Your mw probably doesn't know what it's like, you are so right. Hope it eases up for you soon, though. hope.ful - so glad to see you back and ready to go again!

Chitchat - Go ahead and eat the wheat and dairy, the more nutrients the better. Diet is much more important then pH. I spent 6 months trying to change my pH, never got it higher then 5.5 and still got my guy.

Dloui - congrats and yes you'll show earlier and be bigger with each baby.

Auroara - awe thanks, that is his 6wk pic :)

Skrimpy - such a cute little bunny! FX you get your dream house!

Cinss - I had gotten so fed up with it all I was down to diet and fish oil (it gave me tons of ewcm) when I conceived. My perfect timing was purely by chance. It's so frustrating trying to get everything "perfect" because it may never be.

ELP - in six months?! We'll have to call you TLP! FX you can get the finances all straightened out.

Lola - hi hun, how are you? Oh you should definitely try for natural and funny as it sounds the ring of fire is very reassuring. Once it starts to burn you know it's almost over so deep breath, push with all your might and head is out. Body doesn't hurt at all after the huge melon comes through lol

Flava - sorry about the m/s, try changing your prenatal and add 50mg b6 3x a day. Also peppermint candy or lemon candy can really help and if you can find them preggie pops or preggie drops work wonders. fx it passes soon :)

Still a gut here too and extra flabby, the postpartum weight loss is going so slow and for extra fun I think I'm getting my period back! I starting spotting yesterday and have a light flow today, I'm not sure how that's possible with Charlie nursing every hour! With my girls I had a full 9 month break and was hoping for a repeat. On the plus side I got my IUD so I'm officially impregnable and enjoying my last baby to the fullest :) Hope everyone had a great Easter, here's a few pics of my cuties.

And once you are done BF this one, I will give you the diet that I am about to embark on so you can lose it all and be fabulous looking! LOL, sneaky!!! Well, you could do that once your system is clear again, I suppose. No harm in that, you know your body can tolerate it. Urologists give men with low count a 25mg clomid daily for as long as they deem necessary and it is supposed to do something hormonally, obviously, that increases sperm count drastically. If there is no blockage or physical reason why the sperm aren't coming out, the Clomid usually does help. So FX about that!

See, the bum tearing open is exactly what I felt was about to happen with #2 and I just flipped out. I was already at 8-9cm and definitely in transition labor- if not past it- and was already feeling my knees weaken and some grunting and bearing down happening. This was during the era of the ex-hub who was about as supportive as having Hitler in your delivery room, and he kept yelling at me to get up and get off the "dirty floor" and quit yelling and the like (lovely, I know), so I just had pretty much had it with everything. But you guys have me convinced now that I will give it a shot. I would REALLY love to try a homebirth (or birth center)....and Flava has me all checking out the laws in our state. Last time I was pg, DoulaMama helped me find a lady who would come down from the adjacent state because I don't think you can legally here for some reason. But yea, I have fantasies about this glorious natural birth, and call me crazy....but I kinda toy with the idea of having my girls there also. I think it would make me control myself verbally and be calmer, which I know calmness helped things along in my last labor, and they are so mature from our life situation that I bet they could handle it. They've seen it on tv shows a bunch and don't flinch. Only worry would be if something went wrong, in which case I guess grandma could take them out and keep them while we went off to the hospital.

OH LOOK AT ME, talking about birthing already. I think the IVF back-up plan has me very optimistic!

Geeze ladies I guess I've been lucky. Only slight tearing and a few stitches with #1 and #4, nothing with the other two.

Lola, well there you go, I didn't know men could take Clomid as well. I'll keep my fingers crossed that your DH can take it. Far out, your DH sounds like an a%$. I can't believe how un-supportive he was during your labour. I would kill my DH if he treated me like that. Actually my DH was asleep in bed for most of my second later. I finally decided to wake him up to go to the hospital, just in time because I had my DD2 30 minutes after getting there.

Cinss, ouch! I am terrified of episitomys. I have seen a few of them done IRL and omg! I had stitches with my first and then no tears or anything with DD2 so hopefully like dloui and 5 said, it will be ok for your next birth. Checked out your O chart, do you feel it's getting closer?

5, yay for kicks!! Any more?

DH have our monthly date night on the weekend. We're going to a comedy and show and dinner :)

Bec, i got another - opk today, i am expecting a + in the next day or 2, so i should probably be ovulating Saturday or Sunday. Cervix is getting quite open, so fingers crossed an egg pops out. We will be DTD every night from now.

Date night is such a good idea, i really must mention that to my DP :)

LOL Bec, I knew what you meant!!! Yea, he was terrible. I left him when the girls were just 2 and 4 1/2....left a life of luxury and not working and having a giant house, etc, but that stuff means nothing when you are with someone who treats you like crap. Part of the reason I left is so my girls wouldn't have to live with him full time either....they go over every other weekend (and hate it), but that's better than 100% of the time. They have a real daddy with my current DH though, who thankfully gets to spend way more time with them and will be the male influence in their lives, for the most part. But yea, my ex was AWFUL in both births. I sometimes have a hard time looking back on those experiences and not feeling like they kinda sucked for that reason, but the longer I'm away, the more the fading and blocking out of old crap happens.

TTC5, I am so excited for your scan!!! I really, REALLY think it's a boy. All those guessers are never wrong when they are unanimous! And arggggg, a complete tear? Is that like from stem to stern??? POOR LADY!

Well, for those of you who are soon to birth, check this out re: not tearing----- my doula with DD2 had my ex (and the only reason he agreed to do this is because he wanted my coocooer to be intact after birth) "stretch" me with some pure vitamin e oil every day from like 35 weeks on. I did not have a single thing down there, and I truly believe the stretching was why. He had to put his fingers in like he was pulling a rubber band open and hold it for 5 minutes at the point when I said stop and it felt like it was at its limit. It was kinda awful but I kept my eye on the prize and am glad I did.

I just can't imagine feeling a big tear when you are going naturally.....HOLY VAG-RIPS, Batman!!!

Cinss, hope this weekend is the big one for you!!!! Go eggs!!!

Flava, I am about to start this diet and am pretty excited. I actually have been modifying towards it for the last few days already, just to ease in, and my pants are baggy-ish today, no kidding! It's basically a diet where you just eat enough protein for your body and some veggies, a ton of water, and fish oil and a multivitamin each day....you cut out everything "unnecessary" and your body begins digging into your fat stores for energy without depleting your muscle (because of the protein intake). You do it for 4 weeks with a few days off here and there......I can pm you more about it after I learn more. You've got a while before you can do it, of course....I can send you the info someday. I am excited about it, and not shying away from a swimsuit this summer, too.

April 12th, 2012, 04:26 PM
Lola, is that diet kind of like the Atkins (or "fatkins" as I like to call it)? As you remember I had great success with that. I will be doing it again after the baby is born so I can lose all this chub!

3Pink1Blue
April 12th, 2012, 04:51 PM
Lola - this sounds like you're sending your body into ketosis which is great for rapid weight loss but it's also very hard on your kidneys. Make sure you go a few weeks or more between each stretch and that the first day off you carb load with fruits and veg to replace the vitamins and minerals lost.

Also ladies this type of diet can really hurt your milk supply if nursing and change the taste of the milk causing the baby to reject the breast in some cases. Not to mention make you lethargic which is the last thing you want with a newborn.

I'm back to paleo/primal. Lots of meat, fat and veg but keeping between 50-100 carbs/day. I'm steadily losing, have a solid milk supply and plenty of energy to deal with 4 kids.

The research actually shows MS is worse when you're having a girl. I had terrible MS and was doing lots of research looking for cures and I came across a study of women who were admitted to hospital with it. They followed up with the mums after the births and the majority had female babies. It was true in my case, I ended up in hospital and I had a girl. Was sick from the time the embryo attached, at that stage I didn't know I was pregnant but I sure was sick!

Camping was great, the girls had a fantastic time "getting back to nature" with bathing in a rocky ****** and cooking on a camp fire. Lol. We saw so many animals it was amazing! Goannas slowly walking past our tent all day long stealing bits of food the girls dropped and of a night the possums kept sneaking up and stealing food right off out table if you didn't watching it. Not to mention bandicoots stealing anything edible when your back was turned in the dark.
So the baby dancing begins... Lookie at what I just got...

This was my first month using the digital opk's and I have to say I am in love with them!! Last cycle I had 5-6 days of + opk which confused the hell out of me. This morning I did both digi and normal strip test. Digi was - and the strip test was still a dark + with the test line darker than the control (day 3 of it being like that). Takes the guess work out of it!! So I am going with being 1dpo.

Cinss...how can FF give you an O date when your opk was -ve? I thought you had to surge first before you could O, not after?? But I had pains on sat.

Plum3
April 18th, 2012, 05:56 AM
PoP, I think you O'ed CD21 as well. If you look back at last month your coverline temp was 35.9 so if you go by that then you have three temps above that. I know each month is different though. The temps you took when camping, could you exclude them from the data? That way FF might change the coverline and make it a bit lower, hence more accurate?

Cinss, it's always hard with drinking and the 2ww. I have had a few drinks in the 2ww before (a few times actually) but I was never pregnant at the time. I think I would give it a miss though, but that's me.

Ok I took them out because they were not accurate at all really anyway, it was too hard to do and I didn't set my alarm so I didn't wake everyone up.

I also took out the temps after AF because I felt they were slightly high due to the hot weather we had that week.

Plum3

Princess of Pink
April 18th, 2012, 06:15 AM
I think I am just going to temp in the week leading to O and till I get my crosshairs from no on! It disrupts sleep so much because I have to wake up earlier than I need to or I risk waking early some days on my own and stuffing it up anyway. But some days I can't go back to sleep so end up awake an hour too soon....or like after O when your excited to see temps I wake up an hour before that and end up awake 2hrs too early!!

Cinss, I get nervous about drinking in the 2ww too, but I don't think a glass or two of red wine is bad like Flava said. That being said, I would take a FRER that morning and see what it says.....at 11dpo, you will likely have an accurate reading, although many women don't get positives till later, but hey. I remember when I had my second pg/loss last year, I had to go to a function that night and was 10dpo. I was like, well, I'll just take a test to make sure I'm not pg so I can have some wine without feeling guilty, and lo and behold, I got an unexpected bfp. Hopefully that will happen for you this month!!!

POP, I will do the same thing- wake up early because I know I am temping! That is the main reason why I quit temping. I think it's a solid plan to just temp until you ovulate as long as it's not stressing you out. Do your boobs always get sore? See, mine do just from progesterone in my system, so I can never trust that, but if yours never do, that might be a good sign!

Bec, what med is that? I'm excited for you to try again, hopefully you will be lucky like so many of these ladies who have gotten nice sticky bfps after losses!

Cniss, I agree I'd take a test to make sure, but I think 1-2 drinks (maybe even 3 will be fine). Before I knew I was pregnant with DS1, my husband and I took a stay-cation. (He's such a house troll!) and we wasted our week by watching tons of TV, movies together and then playing video games together, going out to eat, and well, drinking. I didn't even remember us having sex that month so pregnancy was the LAST thing on my mind, but lo and behold, I was pregnant and he is perfectly fine. I think it was just I was so "newly" pregnant that it didn't seem to have an effect.

but definitely do whatever your heart tells you, and for sure I think 1 drink would be OK, esp. of course if you get a BFN. You did drop the BSF this month? you used preseed?

Your chart looks great now POP, i didn't add my temps in on the previous Sat, Sun, Mon as you can see because DP was home then and we slept in for an hour on all of those days, and with him spooning me it was really so hot i knew my temps would be way too high to record. I guess i am lucky that he gets up so early for work that is when i put my thermomoter in and it is the same time everyday before DD wakes up.

Thankyou everyone for the advice on drinking in the 2ww, i think i will actually have 1 or 2 red wines over the course of the night, i just wont get drunk, i am getting too old for that these days anyway and i am sure my friend will need looking after too, so that is probably the best idea.

Auroara i never did the BSF, i did drink Ural for my first couple of cycles, but droped it fror the last 2, and yes this time we used lots of preeseed. I am having 0 symptoms so far, i know it is early, i just wish i had something going on though.

Lola, primolut is a synthetic form of progesterone. So I take it for 5 days and then a few days later I should bleed, which will start my cycle off. I have had to take it a few times when TTC because my cycles used to be all over the place. I had some left from a few months ago so decided to just take it. HPTs are negative too now, yahoooo.

Yeah me too Cinss!! Because a fair few people who are reputable psychics all said April I guess the previous BFN's were all ok because I was going to fall pregnant in April, if that makes sense?? If I get a BFN is April I kinda feel like giving up...but also not...I just don't know!

I have a few things happening that is totally different this cycle....but it seems you only get a BFP when you are sure you are not pregnant!! So makes me think I'm out!!

Hey ladies! I am optimistic for you gals, POP and Cinss! DH's appt went well, he said he could not detect a varicocele, and said the fact that he has impregnated me before means that his junk is working, that is may be from the dancebelt or maybe just a "stress pattern" or whatever that means. He's got an ultrasound and another SA scheduled for next week. The doc said that we shouldn't think it won't happen and we have to do IVF, which is good news. I am happy with it all. I am curious to see what the tests next week show.

Thanks! Yea, he isn't back in the studios until September, so hopefully his balls are less stressed now and are making good sperm, which won't be ready for the production line for 3 months, of course, but hopefully.....I'd really love to have a May baby because of my job, so it would be nice to get pg in August.

Hello ladies,

I have been away for a while. All the BFN's were getting to me and swaying was stressing me out. It was really affecting my relationship with DH as well. All the temping, supps, diet, drinks, BD on a schedule, POAS and the disappointments. So, we decided to give it a break in April - I dropped some supps only kept in fish oil and folic acid, dropped BSD drinks, dropped preseed, stopped tempting, only POAS 2 days for OPKs and DTD O-3, O-1 and O - I think.

Oh, and i went shopping bought some clothes, only decided to test if I missed the day AF is due and tried not to think of TTC all day long.

I had no symptoms at all.. and was surprised with a BFP yesterday!

I just don't feel very positive at all about this cycle...I can't even imagine seeing two lines. I have done so many test over the past 3 months and all negative that I really can't see myself getting a positive. I expected to feel something or see something special on my chart...but nothing!!
