I'm just wondering if anyone else is swaying or has swayed with positive anti bodies/thyroid issues? I'm finding it near impossible to find any links or info so if anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great.;)

My current situation;
I'm 34 years old. Dh is 37 years old.
I have 3 ds.
I had 3 miscarraiges inbetween ds1 and ds2.
Then went on to have ds3.
I then had another miscarraige last year after ds3.
After numerous tests it appears i have positive anti bodies and i had a slightly low thyroid last year but it is now wihtin the normal range. Also i had very low levels of b12 last year but they areback in a good normal range now.All in all i feel and seem to medically be in a much better place than i was last year.

I had planned on swaying in May but the lack of food and vitamins is having a big effect on my body and i dont want to ruin my chances of concieving or risk a relapse of a low thyroid so i have decided to attempt this month (April).

I have read so many different conflicting reports that positive anti bodies/thyroid issues may in fact prevent me ever carrying a girl?:(

So if anyone can put my mind at ease who has successfully concieved a girl when they had anti bodies/ thyroid issues it would really make me feel better.

I'm not on ANY meds for the anti bodies as my doctor feels there is no need to unless my thyroid is too low or too high so medication will not be an issue for me.

Thanks.:)

Well I canīt say I conceived a girl but Iīm hypothyroid and swayed girl and did conceive!
I made sure my dr. checked my TSH very regularly to make sure the LE diet wasnīt influencing my thyroid function.
I also took a iodine supplement the first two months because I was getting less iodine through diet than before, but I stopped it as my TSH went too low and my dr. said to only take the medication.
I donīt know about my thyroid anti bodies, they were only checked years ago when I had thyroid infection that started my issues, once I started taking medication my anti bodies went into range.
Good luck!

Thyroid is notorious for causing mc even if it's subclinical and does not require treatment (some doctors have been treating people with low normal thyroid who had repeated miscarriages and Minerva's Mommy on IG knows a lot about this if you wanted to post on IG and ask her.). I know several people who had losses with throid - some have boys, some have girls, some have both. It may very well just be coincidence - you just happened to hang on to your boys.

I personally do not believe that antibodies could keep you from carrying a girl. A boy, maybe due to the Y chromosome, but that does not seem to be an issue for you. Do you have any links or studies I can read??

Hi atomic thanks yet again for your great advice and support.I don't have any links to hand as i have been reading up on it since last year but i will go back and try find them for you no problem. They were mostly from forums and general discussions about thyroid and gender.I will get back to you with them soon.
P.s: How are you and your little princess doing? I hope you are both doing well.xx
