Just wondering...
Do you think being on the blue/pink diet for too long can permanently alter your body's metabolism.
I've been denying myself food for a year now and I'm worried my previously brilliant metabolism won't work so well anymore. Can you change your body like that? What do you think?

You absolutely can alter your metabolism by being on strict diets for long periods. That's a big part of why I suggest people stick to 1500-1800 cals rather than going onto a starvation diet.
The good news is, this is not irreversable. Muscle-building exercise like weight lifting, will help you add muscle that will boost your metabolism. And once you get pg, the process of pregnancy, giving birth, and breastfeeding also resets metabolism to normal levels. While you BF, your body makes certain hormones that actually help improve your metabolism and lose weight and the longer you BF, the more of these hormones your body makes. They keep working for you even when you stop BF.
