At HRC - number of embryos to transfer?

    Hi

Does anyone now the protocol of how many embryos are transferred back? Is it general 1? Or sometimes 2 depending on the patient?

    Thank you
    Claire

I know someone that transferred 2 xys & both stuck. She had lots of complications & was hospitalised very early on in her pregnancy & she had them at 28 weeks & now they are home finally & doing well.

I am glad they are OK now - It certainly is risky with multiples

It sure is and I was relatively young still when I had my twins and had never had health issues my whole life but it was even too much for my body to handle. I had to stay in hospital form 30 weeks due to PET and they were born at 35 weeks via a very unwanted c-section due to being footling breech and transverse. It was hard to recover from physically and mentally and the first 18 months of their lives is an exhausted blur of sleep deprivation and juggling.
They are precious and amazing and I feel so blessed and lucky to have them but one set is enough for me! Plus I only want 4 kids
    DPs sons 21 +13 11 + our 6 4 year old identical twins!

I might actually be over my deep yearning for a and it's an exciting feeling

It is hard for me to even visualise what it must be like! A singleton pregnancy - and one baby to look after afterwards is hard enough. You are right such s strain on body mind and the rest of the family!!
