getting baby to fall asleep without nursing
My daughter is now almost 11 months and I cannot get her to fall asleep without nursing. I would like to wean soon but she just needs the comfort of nursing before I put her down. She doesn't even really eat that much. She may be on 5 minutes before knocking out. I wouldn't mind except she still gets up every 2-3 hours to do that. She never broke out of this habit since she was a newborn and I am EXHAUSTED! I don't want to make bottles at night when she shouldn't even be drinking in the middle of the night. Anyone have any ideas?

With DS it was getting something heavier in his stomach a bit before bedtime such as mixing BM and rice cereal in a bub and then cutting him of longer and longer directly before bed. The heavier food in the tummy was the start of sleeping through the night for him!

I was also facing similar problem. My baby use to awake just after sleeping for an hour and sleeps only when I am near to him. Doctor recommend me to be there with him all time when he sleeps. I bought a baby carrier in which he sleeps near me and can do some work as well.
