It's not looking good today as I had a fair amount of bleeding and clots, I was also quite crampy. I will get hcg tomorrow to see which way my levels are going. Yesterday they were still heading up based on the hpt.
My scan is actually Friday the 22nd... not sure why I thought 21st. When I rang the clinic about the bleeding she said Friday.

Purple is there possibly a chance you conceived twins and one didn't make it? Impossible to know of course but could explain the bleeding but darkening tests? So unfair you have to deal with this uncertainty

I really don't know, if I hadn't had the late implantation and AF then I would hold onto that hope but I really think this was doomed to fail from the start.
If my levels are still rising I will worry about it being ectopic still, although most ectopics hcg rises slowly but not always. I have read about some rupturing as early as 6 weeks so I'm a bit worried about waiting until close to 7wks for a scan.
I'm tempted to go to the hospital to get checked but as I'm early they will say there is nothing they can do. If I get bad pain I won't hesitate to go though.
I have been thinking more and more how happy I am with just my 2 boys. I don't think I want to go through another 1st trimester again!

Oh, purple I'm sorry to hear that. Any chance you can get a scan sooner?? Why are they making you wait so long?

I think they normally do scans around 8 weeks to confirm a viable pregnancy so they are doing mine early but I wish it was earlier! At almost 6 weeks they would be able to see if it is in my uterus or not.
The funny thing is I actually wanted to wait until 8 weeks for a scan when I got pregnant again as last time I had a scan at 7wks and saw the heartbeat which then gave me false hope that all was ok. My FS said he likes to do them at 8wks as they get a better idea of the viability.

for good news - if it's placenta previa or SCH that can happen and still have a viable pregnancy.
