Hi girls, I'm completely new to ALL of this so please forgive what will seem like total ignorance on my part. ☺️ I have just started the LE diet and I am swaying pink! I am hoping to conceive (fingers and toes are crossed) in septmeber onwards. I already have a little boy and conceiving him was very easy (we were very lucky ). I 'think' I know what I'm doing with the diet: I've basically given up meat and fish and eating more white carbs than I ever did before!
However, I'm totally confused about timing on conceiving. Do we try every 3-4 days from the time my period ends? All the way through to when my fertile window finishes? Thank you for any advice.

At 40 I'd do Femara instead but the way people get either of them is by going to the doctor and NOT asking for it, but instead telling them that you've been TTC a long time (6 months should be plenty) and your LP is short and also you are in a hurry because of your age, and then ask if there is anything they can do to help. They may say no, in which case you say "ok thanks" and go home and TTC naturally. Or they may send you for blood work or to an RE, which you don't have to do, and if they ask you why you didn't, just say you changed your mind about TTC, this happens all the time and is no biggie to them. OR, the option we want is that they'll give you the medication and then you have it, yay. What you don't want to do is go in and demand it and get upset if they say no, because that basically ensures you'll never get it.

Unfortunately some of the women who try to get fertility medication are wanting to abuse it - take high doses to try and get twins or triplets, and doctors (rightfully) don't like that. So they assume that anyone who wants the medication wants it for that reason even though most just want a little help to get pregnant faster. They also usually have not heard about the increased rates of female conceptions while using it and thus if you tell them about that, they'll think you are crazy at best and again, not get the medication. So while there is a large element of luck involved, it's best to just not commit too hard to getting it and hope for the best, expect the worst. Good luck

Things that boost odds of conception often sway blue. Since this is a swaying site I am not going to give you the same advice as someone who is trying to get you preggo as fast as possible since we're trying to balance conception with a pink sway.

The reason we do e4d is because it is an easy way of being in with one attempt in the fertile window, which has been a strong pink swayer for us. Now, is it the best odds of conception, no, but we aren't trying to have best odds of conception, we're trying to sway pink. E4d means that no matter what, even in the absolute worst case, the worst you can do is O-3 and O Day for attempts. It could be O-4 and O-1 or O-5 or O-2 (these are 99.9% always one attempt since the original batch of sperm dies off). But the worst you can do in terms of number of attempts is O-3 and O Day - and even this is 1 attempt really, since if there is anything left from O-3 it will fertilize the egg before the O DAy shot is capacitated, and if there isn't anything left from O_3, the O Day shot will then have its chance.

BD every 3-4 days is proven fine for sperm quality and also numbers. Longer abstains like 7 days are not, but anything from 2-4 is what is recommended by most reproductive endocrinologists. Not unhealthy at all and exactly what I'd recommend for a couple at 40/49.
