  1. 1st Shot Done - and my schedule

    This morning I did my first Lupron shot. It was no big deal. Super tiny needle. Pinched for maybe a millisecond and that was it. I can do this!

    I'm on the very standard Long Lupron protocol. Here it is for whomever is curious.

    I've been on BCPs since day 2 of my last period. Then starting today as Day 1:

  2. GSN Consult

    This evening I had my GSN consult with one of their genetic counselors. Earlier this week DH and I swabbed our cheeks with the test kit they sent and sent the samples back to GSN. I learned some really interesting and helpful information and statistics.

  3. Precycle Testing

    Well, we're going to do another Semen analysis later this week and we're hoping for a better result so we can qualify for MS. In the meantime, here's a rundown of the precycle testing that I went through this month.

  4. PGD 101

    For those who aren't familiar with the many forms of PGD, here's a primer. What you often see posted on the board is someone referring to "2 probe" or "5 probe" or "24 probe GSN" and sometimes "CGH."

    "Probe" refers to how many chromosomes are tested. For "2 probe" just the X and Y are tested. for "5 probe" it's X, Y, and three others. For "24 probe GSN" all 24 chromosomes are tested.
