Sorry Ive been awol ladies, im really struggling atm with everything that's going on. After my last bloods 113, I had more which went down to 65 but the ones after that went back up to 80. I had another scan yesterday and they still couldn't find my left ovary but there is something in or beside my right ovary which they think has been an ectopic pregnancy. The wanted me to have an injection yesterday called methotrexate (its a cancer drug but used in ectopics)...however, pharmacy was unsure what effects it would have on my other medications so they sent me home. They called this morning to say I was to be admitted to hospital today to have the injections and it would most likely be for some time as the methotrexate lowers my sodium valproate effect by 75% so there was a huge risk of me having seizures, it also meant I couldn't drive for 3 months as that's how long its in your system for. I went in and was there for a few hours with the dr who reviewed my notes etc and said they really didn't want me to have it now as they were also worried about an allergic reaction to it as Ive been in HDU many times with my asthma too. They also don't want to give me a general anaesthetic which was the other option. So now im back home in total limbo till they decide what can be done. Im sorry Ive not been about much, Im so scunnered with the whole thing. I promise to update when I know whats going to happen exactly but for the minute it seems I have stumped the drs xxx
