The morning after ET we headed to LAX to fly home. We had planned for 2 days of bedrest, but because they needed to stim me one extra day everything got pushed a day. Everything I had read about bedrest indicated that while it is still commonly prescribed, recent studies show it really does not make a difference. Nevertheless I had been looking forward to 2 days of laying in bed watching movies! Oh well, maybe another time.

While at the airport I received an email from my nurse saying that my extra embryos had stopped growing before they could be frozen. I was so sad. I had really wanted a backup in case this one embryo didn't stick, and I had also dreamed about going back for a sister (or brother!) if it did. So now it was just down to me and this one little embryo in my belly.

Once we were back home I took it easy for 2 days. After all the excitement of our trip, it was a bit depressing to be home with not much to do but rest and wait.
