I'm pretty slack at getting prepared for labour. I was reading the Calm Birth book but it doesn't really tell me anything I don't know. I guess it might help get in the right headspace maybe.

I'm fairly relaxed about the birth as I have done it twice before without issues. It still is in the back of my mind things can go wrong but I prefer not to focus on the negative side and am happy that my midwives will be prepared if there is a problem and we will deal with it then (ie. transfer to hospital).

Lissa, my 2nd was way more chilled out and happier than my 1st as a baby. I think being a 2nd time mum I was more relaxed, also his birth was more relaxed andprobably also his personality too. I hope you get a happy chilled out little man

Thanks so much xxforhubby I really appreciate that. My dh and I talked last night for the first time about the impact that this has had on him, it was so sad but it made me think about you and how hard it must be to be swaying for your dh, my dh really would not if cared if we had all girls, all boys a mixture or none at all! I regularly stalk the 2ww fir updates and am so hoping you get your bfp soon, you really have struggled to conceive so that looks good for pink, I hope so x o

I had a super long labor with my DS 1. And he was a high needs baby. Ugh.
I am confident that my body STILL knows what it's doing...just nervous about my first son being OK with me screaming and having his baby brother at home.

I am planning to watch a bunch of birth videos with him, but, I hope some of the women are screamers because I sure was with my first son.

I am preparing myself for a long birth, but just crossing my fingers that it won't be that long. My labor stalled because I had to leave to the birth center. I'm thinking that won't happen if I get to stay home 😊

Hello Baby is a good book to read to him, I also showed him a few videos too.
    Hello Baby : Jenni Overend : 9781845071103

My son was pretty good during the labour and birth. He was just playing for a while, my mum read him Hello Baby again, he got my water bottle for me. He did get bored at one point and wanted my mum to take him outside to play but at that point dad arrived (not my plan, mum called him too early!) but it worked out ok as he took him outside to play. My labour started when I woke up with little niggles and DS2 was born just before 2pm.
