Hi ladies! So sorry for being MIA. This time of year is super hard for me and I’m closing out work projects and I’ve been going through crazy nesting and going in between our houses to get the new one ready for baby (even though we won’t technically be there when he’s born, but this is literally the craziest form of nesting I’ve had lol).
Dancing, huge congrats on your little boy!!! So so happy for you!
I have so much to catch up on. Miss you ladies. Hope everyone is great.

Bluebooties - congrats, that's great that you get more paid time off. You need a break.
4blue2pink - I feel like the US is still outdated and still planned for the working dad instead of thinking about the newer family dynamic that BOTH parents need to work and mom has a different set of needs than dad. I only get 6 weeks at 60% of my pay through an elective short term disability policy. I plan on applying for 12 weeks of unpaid FLMA and just working part time during FMLA. I was going to quit (because I absolutely despise my job and co workers) but my ex got fired about 4 months ago and hasn't paid child support for about 3 months so I wasn't able to squirrel away extra money like I had planned. And he has no intentions of finding work anytime soon and hasn't been approved for unemployment. This is an expensive time of year too with Christmas and BOTH of my older kids birthdays.
Max-that's great you're getting things done! I'm so tired and so far from ready with D day closing in lol.

Lollabelle- Didn’t hear from you for long. How are you?

Momma – agree, it sounds like the US is so outdated in that respect
Some countries are certainly more fortunate and helpful to mothers(to be) than others – here in Australia it’s not too bad, and definitely better than it was a few years back – but even then, everyone back home in France is amazed I am working still and will be up until a few weeks before my DD (hum, if I stop working I don’t get paid people so no choice). My SIL has been told by her doc she can stop working (salary paid by social security) 1st week of Jan (after the school holidays, because she teaches foreigners (not like a kindy teacher for instance) in a private business but has leave as per the official school calendar) – if there was a true threat to her pregnancy, trust me she would have been told to stop straight away, not in a few weeks, so there is no medical reason for her to stop working bar being a bit tired (in France you get to stop at 35 weeks – at the very latest – that is what is mandated by law).
Ash – yes keep us posted on miss Esme and whether she has turned on her own or not
Hope it all goes well you are a wonderwoman prepping that much with little “notice”
Sky – I don’t think Max has joined the Fb group yet? so it’s not you missing it haha
Max lovely to hear from you – I love nesting too – just can’t wait to be able to get it going full swing haha
PBN – even if you are not going into labour your body certainly would be working hard to prepare at this stage of pregnancy – hope bubs stays put just a tad longer anyhow to get you across the line to your c-section day!
You’re right, it’ll be babies galore here soon
How about our new mums – how are you all with your little bubbies?
TTCblue, Lola, iwant4..where are you??
26 weeks, 14 to go max – we had a tradie in yesterday and he put up framing for the new bedroom – just need to find an electrician (our usual is busy) to do the elec work asap so the tradie can finish the room (plaster and co) so hubby can paint it and we can start the musical rooms thing for the girls lol as you can tell this momma is READY to start nesting. big. time lol

Atomic, this may sound crazy but I’ve been reading about moon phases… I have a ‘red moon cycle’ currently which I didn’t used to have. Meaning my period is coinciding with the full moon. From...
