I was wondering the same Bunnygirl. What’s going on? I was feeling ‘girl vibes at the beginning but now I have very little faith it actually is going to be a girl I’m so sad for everyone although I know having a healthy baby is our ultimate wish as mothers but GD is hard...

HLM I'm glad you finally got your results, sorry it wasn't the sway result you were hoping for though Glad everything is healthy though.

Definitely agree, give yourself time to process it and feel all the emotions you need. I totally thought you were going to be successful, does seem to have been a fair few opposites

Also where I am (UK) they won't even try the doppler until 16 weeks at the midwife, and even then it comes with the warning they might not pick anything up so I'm surprised they try before for you!

HLM- I am so sorry I really thought you would hear girl. I know you found out late, but like many have said if you need to be here to vent and express anything we are here for you.

I don't understand what is happening here!! I feel the same like I do strongly feel this is my girl but it's hard to believe anymore! 2020 may be just one of those years I'm not sure. I go in for my blood test today and now I'm hella nervous. I'm still trying to be positive, I still have girl vibes. But I'm so sorry so far no one has gotten what they swayed for.

Hi everyone - have just caught up with this thread and hoping I could join you.
REally sorry to see all the opposites, and hope everyone is ok.

I got a BFP last Thursday. It was a massive shock as we hadn't really started TTC. We were trying to discuss TTC and if we wanted to (already have DS3 and DS1). I wasn't sure I could handle another DS and if I was only doing it to get a DD I didn't want to do it. My DH was being a complete pain and not having mature conversations about it, so we basically didn't talk for 3 weeks, then I finally lost it with him, told him to be mature (after quite a lot of wine!) we talked for a while and ended up BD without protection. The next day I freaked out and we used protection from then on. Lo and behold I am pregnant form that one time. So annoyed with myself as I only had about 3 weeks on LE diet - I wanted at least 6 if we were going to try.
I was distraught when I got the BFP but have come round to the idea now but am SO nervous to find out gender. Whats done is done now, but it will be another 5 weeks or so until I can get NIPT. I think about it constantly.
Can't admit how I feel to anyone apart from on here, and have only told one friend and DH so far and will prob keep it that way until we get results.

There are not a lot of opposites. We are still in the realm we were in 2019. Sometimes when we have a support thread going, we have several opposites in the support thread and people get upset, but that support thread is not the site as a whole.

Sometimes if you take a handful of 50-50 pink and blue M and M's, you get more of one than the other but it doesn't mean that the numbers of M and M's have changed really. Same goes for swaying - the smaller the sample size, the more likely it is to be skewed. It's only when we look at bigger sample sizes we can see what is working and what isn't.
