    Anterior low placenta

Anyone told they had that? My Dr says that's the cause of my bleeding issues. My placenta is very low and every time I contract I bleed. But my question is why am I getting contractions? Is this normal at this stage? And with the placenta being this way is it normal that I can't feel the baby at 13+ weeks? Any help or advice would be appreciated

It's absolutely the reason why you haven't felt movement. It's acting as a cushion between your abdomen and baby.

You are really early still and the placenta moves as your belly grows so there is plenty of time for it to move up and out of the way for birth.

Thanks NBP! I have been feeling some movement on the sides but nothing really too intense. I felt DS#2 at 12 weeks and this one I started feeling something at around 11 weeks before I was diagnosed with anterior placenta and since then nothing much. My next appointment is at 17 weeks so I am hoping that it moved a bit. I still haven't started fully enjoying this pregnancy and I am anxious to bond with my baby :/

And if you are dehydrated, you can have contractions. Plenty of water to stay hydrated!

I know we already talked about this GM but yes I had anterior low placenta and had bleeding with one pregnancy.

I have had worse and worse BH contractions with every pregnancy and def. had them at 13 weeks with my last three pregnancies!!

Def. felt movement later and less with my anterior placentas than with my posterior ones

I had an u/s on Monday and was told that I have an SCH - which is why I am having some bleeding - but she also told me that I have a full previa, which she said not to worry about at this point since I am still early and then she debated back and forth about whether it was posterior (she said that first) and then said, it looks like it might end up being anterior. Anyway, she told me not to worry about it this early on b/c it should move and they would keep an eye on it.
