OUTCOME: GIRL!

DIET:
I ate no breakfast, ate two meals per day and didn’t snack
I ate low calorie, low nutrient, low salt and vegetarian food. Lots of strawberries with aspartame, lowest rivita with Philadelphia light, risotto, rice dishes and pasta
I drank one cup of tea with artificial sweetener just before noon if needed, this was very rare though.
I drank lots of diet coke, evian and semi-skimmed milk (sometimes with nesquik)
I lost 11lbs in total over 2 months. I was starving around ovulation. I found it really difficult not to stuff my face and didn’t. I did cave around 3 days after ovulation and had a bit of a binge so didn’t keep up diet very well for implantation.


EXERCISE:
None

POTIONS & PILLS:
Folic acid – 400mg per day
Saw Palmetto – 450mg per day AF-O
Vitex – 1600mg AF-O
Aspirin – 75mg every few days CD8-14
Antihistamine – every day CD8-14

POTIONS & PILLS FOR YOUR MAN:
Liquorice root - 1200mg AF-O
Calcium – 100mg per day
Magnesium – 500mg per day
Cranberry – 800mg per day
Asprin –75mg per day 10 and 12


LOWERING SPERM COUNT/TIMING:
I have regular cycles and almost always ovulate on day 12. We opted for a cut-off at + OV test.
DH abstained for 12 days.
We DTD in missionary position around 4 hours after positive OV test; I think that I ovulated around 24 hours after this.

THINGS IN YOUR VG:
I used rephresh on day 7, 10 and 13
We used lemon source shower gel
No big O

OTHER:
Jump and dump - Got up after 5-10 mins and pushed excess out
EWCM – very little since starting the diet, I expect that this led to my UTI’s in the run up to our attempt.
DH undies type – tighty whities – he wasn’t happy with this arrangement
DH hot bath/shower – he had a hot bath and I had a hot shower before our 1 attempt. I was having at least two, usually three showers a day for the whole month though. I became a bit addicted to the warmth and relaxation.

Extra info - I was pretty ill this month in the week running up to ovulation. I had a UTI and felt like I had the flu. As a result I didn’t do much other than laze around feeling sorry for myself. I didn’t take any drugs in case they swayed blue as I was aware that being ill can sway pink so in way wanted to stay ill as long as possible.

I carried around a piece of rose quartz that someone gave me as a gift and slept with it under my pillow, I wore two rose quartz bracelets. I kept a wooden spoon with a pink ribbon under my bed, I bought a baby girl outfit from someone with the same name as the name we would use for our daughter and also put this under our bed. Finally I put a picture of my husband, our son and a little baby girl under our mattress.

We had a lavender oil burner in our bedroom at night. I switched from roll-on to aerosol deodorant, painted my nails three times around ovulation. I ovulated in a new moon phase (first quarter) and there was a big thunderstorm overnight before I ovulated. This is also a PINK Chinese Gender Month for me. I have everything crossed for a healthy baby in 9 months. I feel that I have done all that I can do and hope that my prayers are answered for a healthy little girl. If it turns out to be a boy then he will be even more precious to us as he will have fought the swaying odds and our little boy will be very lucky to get a baby brother .

We had our gender scan today and the sonographer introduced our little boy to his baby sister. We still can't believe it and have our next scan in 26 days to confirm. Thank you all at GenderDreaming for your help and support with this. I hope that all of your wishes also come true. I have never been so happy in my whole life x

Thanks very much ladies. I really hope that it is enough. With my first pregnancy I really wanted a boy but as soon as I was pregnant I decided that I would be happy with either as long as the baby was healthy. I feel similar this time, I mainly hope that this little bean will be OK. I hope that I will remain strong if I hear 'boy' at the gender scan. Only time will tell.
