*Updated - Its a Boy* Lassie1982 TTC a GIRL Sway Attempt

    Its a BOY.....which I was expecting.
My sway at the end was weak, diet only.
I had reached the point where i was just desparate to be pregnant.
I honestly believe that the reason for me not falling pregnant sooner was to do with my very tilted uterus - having always DTD missionary then lying on my back, the swimmers had virtually no chance of getting in there.
Alas though, it wasnt till my BFP month that I found out about the uterus, and we therefore changed positioning, but my then i had thrown ever sway aspect out of the window (expect diet) I was even taking Soy!

If there is ever a next time i will go back to a full on sway, but just DTD form behind and lying on my stomach to the give the swimmers some chance.

Am honestly ok with it though, and am head over heels in love with my little man.

    Comments regarding DW's diet changes-
My diet did become weaker as the months dragged one.
Couple of things i remained very strict on
    - No breakfast
    - No snacking

I don't know what i was doing in cals per day as i stopped checking, i would say around 1500 per day.

Diet was nutritionally devoid, not much veg, barely any fruit.

Mainly had plain rice / pasta / noodles.

If i cheated it was on sodium
If diet was used, length of time before attempt?
I had been on some version for the LE diet for 9 months.
I did allow myself some cheats in the 2ww, though. But then went back to the diet

Did you use any Old Wives Tales?
    Pink one piece under blanket
Things that make me feel great about my sway:
    Not much really.
I started out with a super super strict sway, but as the months dragged on and i became desperate for a BFP i dropped aspect after aspect...the only thing I had was diet, and even that wasn't too great towards the end. So from a 'sway' perspective, it was very weak.
Things that make me nervous about my sway:
That is was virtually non existant!

I do wonder wether the reason i hadn't fallen pregnant sooner was because of my cervical position, in previous months we had always DTD missionary, and i lay on my back for 20mins afterward, which apparently is the complete wrong thing for conceiving if you have a retroverted uterus. My BFP cycle was the first cycle we DTD from behind and i lay on my stomach, and now i wonder wether i *could* have had a stronger sway and still fallen pregnant, if only i had known about my cervix position.
    Things worth mentioning:
Shamed to admit that I smoked very lightly, 4-6 cigarettes a day, af-o.
Its very bad, I know. But I did it, so i might as well own up to it.

All in all, i am just glad to be pregnant At this particular point in time i do feel that i will be happy with a boy, slightly disappointed, but happy all the same. Only time will tell though wether this is true or wether it is just wishful optimism. The aspect that saddens me is that DH is adamant that he does not want more then 2 children - whereas i want 3, he says he won't budge due to his age (thinks he is too old) so if its is a boy, then i will most likely never have a girl - and its that definite aspect of the word 'never' that is slightly sad.

Will be finding out the gender at a 15 week private gender scan, so not too long to wait!

Congratulations Lassie! I think diet is most important and the fact you were on it for 9 months is awesome!

    Thanks Girls

Coco - i hope my DH turns out like yours! LOL

beadin - yes it was so good to type this out, i never thought it would finally be me!

Cinns - we're having 6 week dating scan, the nuchal scan, and then an elective gender scan at 15 weeks...so i will know by then at the latest we will probably do the nuchal scan sooner rather then later so that we can get the all clear and tell everyone So will do that around the 11 week mark so i probably won't get too many good guesses from that, but it won't be took long to wait for the 15 week scan
Mummy to DS10 who is the light of our world
