Very sad
I have two gorgeous little sons but I would absolutely love a daughter too. We committed to going high tech but I found out that I have severe diminished ovarian reserve and very low follicles for IVF to work. We decided to go ahead anyway and this cycle I had 4 follicles which was an improvement so I felt happier but I went in today and my cycle got canceled as there is only one follicle developing as there would be in a natural pregnancy. I’m trying to keep calm and know that that does not necessarily mean I won’t be able to get pregnant naturally as I wish to have a third child whether it is a girl or a boy but I’m just so sad I am literally trying everything for a girl and there’s a high chance that it just won’t happen. My husband said we can do two cycles even if we only have one egg each time so I view it perhaps we are giving ourselves two more roles at the dice before trying again naturally but I just I’m finding it hard to take that I am willing to put all the time and the effort and the money in to do multiple cycles of high tech and I still may not have any success - very very sad today

I'm sorry you're feeling so down. IVF is such a gamble, as is TTC naturally too! I hope things will work out and you get the daughter you've been longing for.

I"m so sorry to hear this, 3rd. Sometimes the second/third cycles yield much better results than the first one because the docs see how to tweak the meds for you to have best results.
Are you on a lower carb diet?
So you're doing batching and then frozen transfer???!!! Questions?? Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

My clinic says there’s isn’t much cost difference to test eggs/ embryos as they come versus batching they so just trying to do a cycle with more than one follicle - if that doesn’t look like an option we will go ahead with one and see what happens

Yes please do, not super low carb but more like the Zone, Perfect Health Diet, or South Beach Diet. You want the kind that still have some whole grains, fruit and veg but in smaller amounts.
YOu can also take a look at the variation of my atomic fertility diet for people who may go high tech here, 5 from the top https://genderdreaming.com/forum/gen...rt-3-pcos.html You'd likely not want to follow this variation YET as it's meant for more swayers who are considering high tech and haven't decided yet. But do please check out one of the similar diets - the Zone, Protein Power Plan, etc. You want one that still has about 30% carbs and not one of the very low carb or keto diets.!!! Questions?? Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Hi 3rd, I just wanted to share because I was in a similar position as you are now. I also went HT (for a boy) ...several times... and at my last round (max stimulation) had only one egg. and we were so lucky that this ONE was really a healthy XY! BUT it did not implant after FET. So I'm just saying, go with your gut feeling. There is really no recommendation because IVF is so unpredictable. And can be a CRUEL rollercoaster! I personally didn't want anything left untried. Now I'm calm what gender my next one will be because I know I can't mess with faith/god/luck.
Do what you feel is right because every outcome, will be enriching your life in the end. ...I admit, it may take some time to be ready to see it that way
Ah, and not to forget, I got pregnant VERY easy after all this with my devastating AFC and below basement level AMH. One egg's obviously enough(thank you atomic!)

Thanks so much for this it really is truly so helpful to hear someone who has been in such a similar situation. I’m so so sorry the embryo didn’t implant what a crazy roller coaster. But i agree at least I will know I always tried everything!! Thanks so much again xxxx
