Confused HELP!! Does depth of release matter?

Some people advise shallow release for pink and deep release for blue. Does this really matter?

Probably not. Reason being, sperm can swim, and semen and CM are kind of like little "life rafts" for sperm to help them stay alive till they make it to the safety of the cervix. Pink sway tactics dry up CM and lower sperm count (so fewer can make it to the egg to begin with) and blue sway tactics improve CM and raise sperm count which will hopefully increase numbers of sperm at the egg, possibly swaying blue that way.

If you are a pink swayer and doing a ton of stuff to dry up CM and lower sperm count, shallow release may make it too hard to get pregnant and so it's best to give it a pass. You've already done what you need to do to lower sperm numbers, and so shallow release is just overkill.

If you are a blue swayer and doing a ton of stuff to make good CM and increase sperm count, you don't need to stress over having DH release really deep if it's painful to you or just not your preferred position. (Most of us can't O doggy style and having an O may help sway blue a bit.) Just have him complete the transaction in whatever way works for you as a couple, stay laying down for 15-30 min afterwards, and go about your business.

In the big picture, if you were doing nothing else to sway, depth of release might sway a miniscule amount, but it's completely meaningless in an otherwise-good sway.

You know, this is where the whole IG thing fell apart for me. I remember they were telling ladies to use menstruation "cups" to keep the sperm in there. There was a shorter cup for the boy swayers and a longer cup for the girl swayers. And then this post came out saying "SHETTLES IS DEAD", and I had to ask Tamara (I'm the 3rd question down on this thread, which is REALLY popular over there because it caused so much confusion) why we would STILL recommend the Diva cup for boy swayers if the whole "placing the semen closer to the cervix" thing was Shettles bunk? Anyway, she responded something like swim time in the CM. Whatever. That whole SHETTLES IS DEAD thread is what made me turn to TW. THANKS AGAIN ATOMIC!

I could never quite grasp the idea of the cups either because if you've ever tried to use one for TBM and inserting it full of the good stuff, there's no earthly way to get it in and out without spilling the stuff everywhere. And as for using it after regular BD, Cinss once said, "I felt like I was sealing stuff out rather than sealing it in." If ya wanna up your sperm count, maybe a big plastic shield over your cervix is prolly not the way you want to go.

I also promised a "big O" essay for today which once I started researching it became more involved than I thought and the natives grew restless, so I hope to have that for tomorrow. It also plays into this.

Yeah I agree, with my 2nd DD we did a deep release and the. I did J & D plus SEM. With my 1st DD we did a very shallow release and DS a deep release so that goes along with the theory but 2nd DD doesn't at all!
