Biotin dangers!
At least once a week I am encountering someone taking a massive dose of biotin for "skin and hair" health or something along these lines.
This has never been proven to help anyone's hair or skin or nails and what is more, it's never a good idea to take megadose nutrients for anything less than a very important matter (for example, taking a slightly higher than normal dose of folic acid or folate to prevent birth defects - legit. taking 10,000 mg biotin for your hair to maybe grow a teensy bit faster - not legit IMVVVVHO)
The people who sell these things have a vested interest in telling you that they are safe and proven effective but they are not. Most megadose nutrients are barely tested if at all and it is just not a good idea to take the risk for anything other than the very best reasons.
Here is an article indicating that megadose biotin is causing serious medical tests to be inaccurate (false negatives) and has probably killed at least one person, when a test to see if they were having a heart attack came back negative due to a high dose of biotin they were taking.
Stick to 100% or around there and avoid megadoses. Exceptions - Vit. D and folic acid or folate. And even with these, we are only taking slightly higher doses and NOT mindbogglingly massive amounts of them.

300 is fine - that's a normal amount! I am having people showing up taking 10,000-30,000 mg of the stuff daily!
