a very high carb, high sugar diet, being overweight, constant snacking on sugary/carby foods (drinking soda or juice all day) lack of exercise, and ~possibly~ that your mother and grandmother had the same sort of lifestyle! Also, it may not matter if you have a healthy lifestyle as an adult, your childhood may have set you up for it.
also just wanted to reiterate that you can be thin and have PCOS, it's just that being overweight can make it more likely.
