Pos OPK and TTC Pink - need advice please!
Hi There,
I am a brand new swayer, totally impatient and totally inexperienced with OPKs. Lol
I'm a few weeks away from TTC pink (end of feb).
Can I just confirm that this is the pink way:
From End of AF, I need to check for positive OPK each day about 2pm - and as soon as its positive we have one attempt to DTD ?
Should DH FR from 1st day of AF or a few days later? - I'm not sure i would get pos OPK 7-10 days after C1. Might b more like 12 days after start of AF ...
Thank you ladies!!
P.S. can't afford to observe a few cycles as I'm an oldie ;-)

I don't think there's much to be gained by taking months to "learn your cycle" anyway because it all goes berserk once you start trying.
I don't know if you need to start testing that early (unless you ahve like a 10 day AF), just start 3-4 days before you normally expect O to come. You may even want to start more like 5 days before so you can see what they look like when negative.
I am TOTALLY over frequency and now think it's the one attempt doing pretty much all the heavy lifting, plus it really lowers odds of conception. When I was TTC for my DD what worked for me at 41 1/2 was BD every 4-5 days, this ended up as one attempt in my fertile window and was the night before O Day (which is typically day of pos OPK)!!! I'm confused too now. So no need to FR?
My husband is over 35 (and so am I), so assumed FR and one attempt at pos OPK or should we not bother with FR and just BD every 4-5 days? X
I conceived DS1 with abstain and one attempt (wasn't swaying- just happened like that), DS2 and DS3 with BD every other days.

If you are older OR are in a hurry to get pg OR hubby has poor sperm quality, then FR is not necessarily going to be your best option because it lowers odds of conception TOOO far and makes it quite tough to get pg with just one attempt. Since the one attempt is significantly more successful than any frequency pattern (except those done with one attempt - those are identical to one attempt, indicating that it is primarily one attempt that is swaying and NOT frequency), then for anyone who needs to be pregnant in short order, it makes sense to drop that which probably does little or nothing (but lowers odds of conception considerably) in favor of that which actually seems to be effective (the one attempt.) It is TOTALLY possible for people to get pg with one attempt provided you are not doing 7 zillion other (less effective) things to sway.

What a dilemma...
The question is, would this be a good enough pink sway?

I would LOVE to see people moving on past the stuff that is doing little or nothing but preventing conception and driving everyone bonkers and focusing on the stuff that does actually seem to sway.
I think that is a fine sway and is exactly what got me a DD at 41.
