But at the same time tho Zana, I have read articles and studies that suggest that as you get older your odds of girls increase (and just look at the Duggars!!) and also that the more kids you have overall, the higher your odds of pink.

There's a reason why the 7th son of a 7th son is believed to be so lucky...because it's hard to get 7 sons in a row and 7 sons twice in a row...fugeddaboutit. Rarer than a unicorn!

Oh what a great news...this suck for me!

it also shows after 4 girls we don't even have a 50% chance for a boy...cool

No worries though, I think all these odds "conspire" together to make it so virtually everyone ends up with kids of both genders, because that's what is "smartest" for our genes and makes them more likely to be handed down. It is "smartest" for your genes to have both boys and girls and so our bodies have ways of making that happen (even tho we may have to have 5 kids to do it haha). So if you have a lot of girls, your odds of a boy start to go up and vice versa.

I think your odds are going up flava! The thing with older moms having more girls is very far from a sure thing, some studies have even found that it isn't true. Whereas it IS true and proven that moms who have several girls in a row are more likely to have a son. Look at Sarah Palin, she had a boy at 45 years old.

Your genes are no different than anyone's genes are. When I refer to "smartest" I mean, that the entire human race ALL of us, almost certainly have the genetic potential to conceive babies of both genders. Just like we all have two eyes and hair on our heads, we all have the genetic potential to conceive babies of both genders because that is what is smartest for every human being from the North Pole to the South and everywhere in between. It's just that for some of us, our environments have sent that signal that girls or boys have a better shot at survival, and through bad luck or whatever, our dice has come up all pink or all blue a lot of times in a row.
