Temps still up after chemical

Hi ladies, just wandering if i could have your thoughts...

My temps are still up after my chemical started on saturday (11dpo). Just wandering if this means low progesterone levels (hence my short LP) definitely weren't a contributing factor to the chemical as i assume temps would go down with low progesterone right? Was hoping that taking prescribed progesterone in future might prevent this happening again but if progesterone isn't the problem i guess it wont make much difference. What else can contribute to a short LP?

On the otherhand is it just that my body hasn't quite caught up with whats going on (i read this can be the case somewhere) and thats why they are high? HPT is now pretty much neg but still have bit of bleeding and cramps.

A short LP is caused by low progesterone for sure.

Your temps are just indicating the hormone levels in your body right now, this minute, not any other point in time, unfortunately. No way to extrapolate that into the past or into the future. It could very well be that the chemical caused prog levels to rise and they're just still high right now. Or it could have been that your prog levels were fine and something else entirely didn't go quite according to plan.

There are lots of reasons why chemicals can occur and prog is just one of many. Blood glucose levels, chromosomal anomalies in either egg or sperm, and implanting in a bad location are also possible.

I agree that your body prob. hasn't just caught up yet but it can also be somewhat normal to have a slight fever after a loss. Just be sure to keep an eye on it and make sure if it IS a fever, that it goes away soon, and if you start to feel sick, please see a doctor and let them know that you may have had a slight fever for a few days.

Thanks atomic, temp definitely lower today, bleeding/cramps have gone and feeling much less emotional etc so think its all in the past now
