Call the company, they're very good about working with people and will replace parts and even the entire Hanna if it's bad.

I have this exact problem with my HI99104 hanna tester. I called the company in Australia and they said it probably needs to be cleaned properly in the cleaning solution (which I don't have) or there is something wrong with the electrode and may need to be replaced. All very irritating when I'm due to ovulate tomorrow... grrrr...

oh no thats a nightmare, ok i was told that distilled water can clean them well, just leave it to soak for an hour in there swirling it round every 10 mins, does yours have to be swirled around in the sample whilst you take your reading ?

Even if you've bought it off eBay, sometimes the company will help you get it figured out.
