    Boy when DH cycles

    Hi Atomic and swayers,

DH has just started cycling to work (approx 30 min each way) and it's making my nervous about our possible blue sway in April-June. I suggested he take up some weight training to counteract but my suggestion didn't go down well.

Is there anyone who has gone on to have boys when DH cycles almost daily?

Atomic, how bigger concern is this cycling?

    Thanks

I don't know how much this helps but before conceiving DS2, DH rode his bike to work every day. It's roughly 45 min one way. DH had also been running and doing other cardio (military) when we were ttc DS1.

Honestly, it is a concern, and a chunk of my blue sway opposites were in cyclists (oddly, I've had a small handful of pro cyclists and BMX bikers among my blue swayers - 5 or 6 and several did get opposites)

Weights cannot counteract it, because it's not testosterone related, it's the actual effect of the bike seat on his genitals, it's believed. I would get him a seat with more padding than the standard and hopefully he'll keep the spandex on the looser fitting side.

Obviously, it falls into one of those categories of "outside our control" so we do the other things we can do and sway in different ways.

yes plenty of opposites - pink swayers whose hubbies were biking and they got boys anyway! It's not a dealbreaker.

My hubby cycles daily ( sometimes 100km) and has done so for years. We have 3 boys! ( hopefully a little girl on the way as I'm 7weeks now)
Its so hard not to analyse every aspect when swaying....hope you get a little boy xxx

Bit dejected to hear that but thanks for your honesty. Just frustrating after a year or being too unwell to ttc and no cycling and then as soon as Im feeling well enough he wants to get back into it. Thankfully there is np lycra involved

I feel like I cant ask him to cut back a few days just atm because he's just getting back into ot but is it pf value to try and get him to cut backk a few days 6-8 weeks prior to ttc? Or will the 'damage' already have been done by then?

Yes absolutely it is fine to have him cut back whenever. There will still be some benefit even right up to when you TTC.

PS - glad to hear you're feeling better!

Our sway didn’t work for #3 & we had a little oops for #4 but we love them all to bits... not sure if we ever will but somehow hoping we might add blue to the crew, to complete our family, one day...

Fingers crossed for TTC #5 (again) for early 2024!

Lol I wouldn't count of us until after a bfp, still plenty of time to freak out and back out. DH would prefer to stay at two but is definitely open to three so I find the pressure of making the final decision a bit overwhelming. Thinking we might give it a go April-July.
