Thanks Atomic, I'll check out the thread you posted.
Just a quick q on protein - can it come from meat if you stay within limits? I have been eating mostly low carb since my last son was born and have lost over a stone. I'm afraid if I go back eating pasta etc I will gain weight. Thanks

yes as long as you're within limits. A lot of people do choose to give up meat, and it ~can~ make it easier to stick with diet if you do (because meat is fairly low cal, but high protein, so it's very easy to quickly go over on protein eating meat and then have eaten very few calories. So then what can you eat the rest of the day?? It can make it harder to get enough cals) but if you can find a way to balance protein and cals while eting meat without resorting to a starvation diet of meat and gummy worms or whatever, then it's fine.
