Old Wives Tale?

I’ve read an old wives tale that depending on the side you ovulate from, it could possibly determine the gender of your baby. If you ovulated from your left, a girl, if you ovulated from your right, a boy.
Wondering if this rings true for anyone? I’m sure it’s all nonsense, but always interesting to hear what people have to say.
Also, would the embryo most likely attach to the same side you ovulated from? I read one study that said you most likely would.

It's not true. Most women ovulate from the right side predominately, every month because of the way bodies are laid out, we get more blood flow and in turn hormones flowing to the right side. For reasons we don't understand, sometimes the left side will take over, and in some women this happens quite a bit and they're usually Oing from the left. But no one is alternating sides and you can get babies of both genders from either ovary.

One study found that in 3 month cycles, sometimes it can skew gender ratio, particularly in the L, L, R pattern (75% boys) but I don't want anyone to go off that. Firstly because the study was never reproduced (that I know of) and may well have been a fluke, and secondly because trying to hit 3 month cycles just right is like trying to get a slot machine to come up 3 cherries or whatver - just doesn't happen much in the pattern that you want it to.

The uterus at the time of implantation is very small. An egg can implant anywhere. It may be slightly more likely to implant on the side of ovulation but it can also implant on the top, the bottom, the other side.
