I think we are going HT
The more I think about this, the more it seems like the best decision. If I had my way I would have four kids, which would be three more chances to sway, but we just can't. Two is it for us. GD is something that consumes me. I cannot get it off my mind. I need that guarantee.
Now I just need some reassurance...we can have the money saved up and be able to cycle next fall. It's just so much money. This is the right thing to do, right? Is there anyone that looks at their high tech baby and has regret for the money spent? Probably not right?
Another question, I'm looking at going to SIRM NY for my cycle. Should I go ahead and do a consult? How far in advance should we start if I want to cycle next fall?

[21 weeks] Nov. 2012 Went for a scan at 20 weeks, baby measured 17+6, came back for a follow up scan and baby had passed away. Lots of testing, no answers.
Moving on without my son's brother. Starting our HT journey in 2014.

Hi, I'm cycling in a few weeks and I have 2 boys already (as you can see from my name) I suffered severe GD with DS2. I don't think I could handle having another baby and it being a boy that is why I chose HT. I don't think it is a waste of money because you are following your dream. I spent 30+K on my wedding and that was only for one day I'm happy to spend this to have my baby girl. I first contacted my specialist in May and was told to wait until after I had finished breast feeding. All my tests were done in August, first appt in September and off I go in November. It all happens do quickly! Good luck

HT I believe is soooo worth it to get your dream gender, all the very best.
If I were going for a 4th I definitely would be doing HT, but we are not having anymore and Im ok with that.DHME

I just posted a very similar comment in the dream forum - I think we're really going to do this - and incidentally I intend to cycle at SIRM NY! I'd do the consult whenever you want. Have heard great things about all the doctors but if you want Dr T there's a 2-3 month wait, so you might as well schedule the consult now. I liked the office, everyone was friendly, and really liked him specifically - very clear and genuine. The 3rd place I did a consult with.
I think it's great that you KNOW what you want, including only 2 kids, and are reaching for your dream. Neither of us will regret a dollar spent on this (or many dollars) if it works.

Thank you guys!!! I suppose we will schedule the consult soon.
My DS said something very odd today that really reaffirmed my decision. He had a play date with his friend and his friend has a one year old little sister. Today he said, mommy where's MY sister? Haha. I was speechless. I know it's probably just a silly innocent thing because he's two and he says crazy stuff, but I feel like it's a good sign.

Sbowman - Where are you now in the process? My meds just arrived and I'm going in for an assessment in late Nov. it's starting to feel more real. Though this has come about from a series of individual steps over 8 months - there wasn't really a moment where DH and I said Ok We're Doing This ...and yet here we are!

Funny you say that. Just after I m/c recently my eldest son wished on this Santa clause flower we have and I said what did you wish for. He said a baby sister. He had no idea we were trying and we never spoke about it with him. He makes me more determined to make this work as he talks about a sister all the time.Mum to 3 lovely boys. 4HT cycles. Onto swaying.

Sorry I missed this! We our waiting until the holiday madness is over to schedule. I sent an email to someone at SIRM asking about their military rate, and still waiting on a response. We're still in the very early stages.

I think we are going HT
Thanks!!! I really believe swaying is great and works, and I wish I could do it myself. I am just too obsessive I think. And I keep thinking of my baby boy, even though testing did not show any chromosomal abnormalities...that hopefully with pgd I will never have to go through that again, whatever it was that took him away.

I hope it's OK to post this question here atomic. (I didn't think it really needed a new thread.) For swaying girl with the one-attempt method, do you think there is additional benefit in using a...
How many attempts should I do and...
