Is going HT truly safe?
Is going HT really safe? How do we know? IFV has only been around since the 1970's, right? What about PGD? I worry that there are risks and adverse things we don't know about yet... That's making me shy away from HT. I wish I could have the confidence of success that HT gives. I'd he pregnant right now, if I knew that 99% it would be a girl. (Ok, maybe not RIGHT now, but soon.)
I have concerns about the potential dangers of HT. anyone else feel this way? Anyone have a bad Ht experience? Are there downsides? Risk to the child? DH and I have no fertility issues (that we know of) so I just can't feel like jumping to HT for #2 is the way to go, but I would LOVE to take the guess work out of the equation. The sense of peace of mind I'd get just KNOWING that #2 was our girl would be so freeing!DS - 2012

No one can answer those questions for you, Trike. We don't know any more than anyone else does. All we can say is yes, according to the data we have at our disposal, we believe it to be safe. New info could come in at any second that may cause us to reevaluate that and there are no guarantees because we just don't KNOW enough.
If any of these lovely ladies really truly thought that IVF/PGD was harmful, would they be doing it?? Of course not.!!! Questions?? Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Having children is a risk. Period. I have a naturally conceived child with a genetic issue. 1 in 30,0000. My IVF son is 100% healthy. With IVF, at least you can avoid all the major groom some issues. Can't do that at all with a natural pregnancy!
HT isn't for everyone. It's high stakes but if you know you want a gender and not just another child, it's the only way to get a guarantee. It's all about the guarantee. There are no large studies that show ivf is harmful.
Keep in mind that most people that use ivf have fertility issues and you can't really compare findings with those using ivf electively.Mom to
and my IVF/PGD
It's better to look back on life and say: "I can't believe I did that" than to look back and say "I wish I did that".

Atomic, this may sound crazy but I’ve been reading about moon phases… I have a ‘red moon cycle’ currently which I didn’t used to have. Meaning my period is coinciding with the full moon. From...
