the study has finally been done! NO increased risk of birth defects/developmental delay with ART!
I know that many of you worry about this and there are a couple confusing studies that seem to show an increased risk of birth defects and developmental delays with fertility treatments, BUT this study is the only one that corrected for premature births and multiples. In single, full term pregnancies with assisted reproductive technology, there was NO difference in outcome to naturally conceived pregnancies. (Put back just one, ladies!)
