Egg Donation
I've been grappling for over a year whether to go ahead with PGD using Egg donation so that I can guarantee a girl, even though I know I can conceive fairly easily naturally, but likely to result with a 5th boy. Is anyone in this situation I can talk to?
My pre tests showed an AFC of 3, it might have even been two, I therefore would not produce enough eggs needed to try PGD.
I had some counselling to try and help me work out my feelings, but it did not help, the IVF specialist counsellor said she had never met anyone like me before contemplating this. Made me feel even more like I was alone and a bit crazy.
I'm swaing at the moment but finding it really tuff to do and scared of the outcome.
Would be good to hear from anyone in my shoes.
Thank you

Lucky, sometimes the HT ladies miss posts in the non-member forum, since you're a Dream Member please feel free to repost this in the Dream Members HT forum.
Personally, I think donor eggs are the greatest thing since sliced bread. I would not hesitate for a moment about using them. Research has shown that your maternal environment actually has a lot to do with the baby's development even if it's not your DNA to start with - she will still be your daughter 0 and I know of lots of people who have gone this route and been so very pleased with their results.
I would not listen to the counselor, it is very unprofessional of her to have said that. People don't understand but we do.!!! Questions?? Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Thank you Pinkinthestars and Atomic, I've only just realised you guys had posted. I'm grateful for your responses. Your right Atomic, I've had few replies on the members forum and it's been really helpful.
Money has become more of an issue so it may not be possible to go ahead with HT anyway now! I've also strangely come round to the idea of another babyboy if the sway fails. It's a relief in some respects. If I don't conceive at all next year, then will go back and will review HT ED again. At least I have a plan! Thank you xx
