    crafty mummies

are there any other crafty mums on here?

what have you made for your LOs?

So far I've made a patchwork teddybear, cot bumper, nappy stacker, curtains, cushion, and playmat, but I'd like some more ideas/inspirations!

    Please share

Wow you're good! Sounds amazing. I love crafts but am not good at sewing. I took up knitting when pg with ds2. Dh was appalled as he thinks knitting is for old ladies! But I made booties, a knitted toy and a lop sided jumper!

I've made cushions for the boys rooms recently (not knitted! Lol). My mum has made lovely appliqué blankets and personalised knitted blankets which are lovely keepsakes.

The other crafty thing I like doing is scrapbooking. We have a massive bound book and i try to add momentos, kids drawings, schoolreports etc etc and photos all the time, it's quite therapeutic and great to look back on!

I just love making things for my boys! I've knitted teddies - am in the middle of an improvised Captain Barnacles just now - plenty of jumpers, balaclavas etc. I machine-sewed a car mat when ds1 was 2 and appliqued the roads/train track and shops on. I am also making a tooth pouch with a cross-stitch train on it for ds1 as he has his first wobbly tooth! I love to bake as well and am always compiling my own cook books with collected recipes. There's always so much to make and not enough time!

I love personalised baby blankets and things

I've collected some of the clothes that both DS1 and DS2 have now outgrown and plan to make either a memory bear or a memory blanket with it. Not sure which yet!

Scrapbooking and creating recipe books aren't something I've considered.. good ideas!

Here's a few pics of my wonky teddy bear and other makes:
