Looking for best place to go from the UK for IVF/PGD/spermsorting and dreaming of a little girl
Hello everyone - I'm new to here (just finding my way around) - it seems that Genesis in Cyprus is the place to go from the UK (and stay away from the Northern Cyprus clinics) - any advice much appreciated!! I conceived both my boys easily (naturally), but I'm 40 now so I'm worrying I'm too old for PGD. Look forward to chatty to lots of other Mums.

Welcome. I'm 44 and have been to Genesis twice, first time in November. Against the odds I got pg with a DD, but sadly had a m/c at 9 weeks and am fx 6.5 weeks pg, after going again last month. At 40 I think you have to be realistic because PDG is all about numbers and obviously the older you are the fewer eggs and the chances of abnormals are so much higher, but it certainly can work. His spermsort is great to give you desired gender, but success rates aren't that good, I think currently on this forum around 30% or even slightly lower.
On the other hand, HRC in California currently has success rates of around 80+%. I'd certainly consider arranging a consultation with Dr Potter - it's free if you mention you are a member of Gender Dreaming and you really want to give yourself the best possible chance. Good luck xx

Hi and many thanks for you reply. I really hope your pregnancy works out this time and wish you lots of luck!! I am 40 so similar age to to your self. May I ask how you went about contacting Genesis - was it direct or through the rainsbury clinic? Do you have other children and therefore 'disguised' it as a holiday? If direct, what is the process - how do they do any pre-tests / issue your medication etc? I'm also confused as Genesis is South Cyprus and I thought it was not allowed there? I'm really grateful for your post as I'm finding this and the In-gender site very confusing and a bit of a minefield! x

chatty- you should post in the HT Member forum. There is a Genesis thread located there in the International Forum-

More people will respond there.
IVF with GS at 40 will not be easy. You should plan for more than one cycle to give yourself a fighting chance. With GS, you eliminate half of your embryos and very few eggs at 40 will be normal unfortunately.
Some people have chose to go the donor egg route to increase their chances.Mom to

It's better to look back on life and say: "I can't believe I did that" than to look back and say "I wish I did that".

I successfully had my girl nearly 3 years ago thanks to an awesome plan from atomic. I have just started on Ozempic to try and lose some weight due to PCOS and it’s working well. Does anyone...
