    New here from Australia!

    Hello!
    Writing this from Australia.
My husband and I are looking to travel to HRC/Dr.Potter in April 2017.
We have a little girl who has just turned 1.
And sadly we lost our first child - a little boy. Stillborn at 33 weeks back in 2015.
Having had two pregnancies and two births - i feel in myself and my body that i can probably only manage one more pregnancy and one more birth. I'm fit and healthy and still relatively young - but just what i currently feel). And therefore my husband and I would like to try for a boy under Dr.Potters care.
This is not us trying to "replace" the baby boy that we lost (despite being asked this by multiple doctors recently! "you realise you can't replace him?!"). It's simply about feeling i only have one more pregnancy/birth within me.... and if that IS the case - we would like to opt for a boy.
My husband and I have undergone all the initial pretesting, scans, ultrasounds etc. Now waiting on advice from HRC on when to begin medication closer to our intended travel date.
Have done some reading and started to get a little daunted and anxious by the abundance of information - and some of the facts/figures (especially what seemed to be a lot of information about NT/non-transfers from retrieval only obtaining eggs of the opposite sex that couples were wishing for... feeling this is a very real possibility)... - but very keen to hear others experiences who have travelled from Australia over to the US.
    Thanks so much.

Hi and welcome. It's such a shame we don't have HT options here in Australia, I may have looked at this option more seriously if it didn't involve the travel. Very sorry to hear of your loss, 33 weeks must have been so difficult. I hope your DD beings lots of joy to your family. Good luck with your journey.

Welcome Team_Blue, firstly, I'm so sorry for your lost, I can't imagine how heart breaking that would have been. I can totally understand wanted only one more pregnancy, I am in the same boat, looking at HRC later this year for a girl. Have you become a member? there are heaps of user journeys u can look up for info on transfers, number of eggs etc that might give u an overview of the process?

There are a lot of NT, but also ohw! And some that will not fall pregnant after transfer, although never had issues before.
Only advise I would like to give is put off the pressure/expectations that you only need one cycle. If you do, great! But many of us had to go several times. I was not expecting that, looking back how easy we conceived in the past.
Me 34 DH 35. hoping to add
Cycle 1# Jan Hrc, 9 retrieved, 5 to pgd, 1 healthy xx (EB BC)& 2 xy bfn
Cycle 2# April Hrc, 10 retrieved, 7 to pgd, 1 healthy xy NT
Cycle 3# June Hrc, 12 retrieved, 9 to pgd, healthy 1 xx (HEB AA) bfn
Cycle 4# August Hrc, microdose flare protocol: 18 retrieved, 9 to pgd, 2 xy 1 xx. FET with immune protocol 2015. BFP 4dp6dt! DD born in 2016.
