    Ttc girl

    Hi
Have just joined looking to figure out how to ttc a girl. I have 1 daughter my second born but then lost a second girl next half way through the pregnancy. We have an older boy our first born and then after our lost went to have 3 more boys. So we have 1 girl and four boys. I don't actually know how or what I did to conceive the girls. We just did what we always did but have had 3 boys in a row after who I love to bits but would just love 1 more girl to complete our family. This is our last chance so need to throw everything at it.

I'm presuming for diet I need to look into LE diet.
Am I right in saying I don't need to cut out potatoes etc.
I started tracking on my fitness pal and my potassium levels seem really low. I was going to try to cut out potatoes etc but am worry about potassium levels been too low.
Also I have an Under active thyroid so should I not take extra supplements.
And I have low iron so need to take iron tablets. Is this ok to do.
Also do I need not have a lot of calcium now as I need to lose weight and not managing it with lots of calcium.
What about tea and coffee. I'm really confused. I drink a lot of tea. I am trying to drink some coffee now but am missing my tea.
Sorry for all the questions just trying to get a grip of it all.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. How heartbreaking.

LE Diet is here: https://www.genderdreaming.com/forum...l-version.html and the LE Diet FAQ is here: https://www.genderdreaming.com/forum...-diet-faq.html Yes you're correct you don't need to cut out potatoes and other potassium foods and that is explained in the second LE Diet FAQ here: https://genderdreaming.com/forum/ttc...s-edition.html

MFP is really really unreliable on potassium. Most foods actually have potassium but since the info is entered by users and most foods do not need to have potassium legally listed on the label people often enter in "zero" when there is actually a fair amount. Google and Self.com are good places to look up actual potassium levels. U do need that 2500 mg every day on all swaying diets because that's the minimm your body needs to survive.

yep stay away from any of the herbs and also cranberry and aspirin, and antihistamines with thyroid issues (none of them ahve worked anyway)

Yes iron is fine if you need it. Start off at whatever dose your doc has recommended for 6 weeks and then if you're feeling better and/or your levels have increaased go to 3x a week at that point (or continue daily if needed)

Calcium is a hotly contested issue. Many of us, myself included, got boys doing the calcium and gave it up to get our girls. The best study ever done on maternal diet pre-conception (and indeed the ONLY one done by people who were not trying to prove a mineral diet to be true) found the women with highest calcium intake actually went on to have more boys. But I understand this is a hard one to give up for people and so I do allow you guys to take calcium/magnesium supplements if you so desire, just be sure you get some kind wihtout added Vit. D as that may sway strongly blue. But don't have tons and tons of dairy, dairy within LE Diet limits only.

If you have trouble shifting weight you may want to check out our PCOS-type diet (even if u don't have PCOS) here: https://genderdreaming.com/forum/gen...rt-3-pcos.html and you'd want to do full fat dairy only in that case, no skim as it's very bad for blood sugar levels for some people

Tea, unfortunately, seems to be blue friendly. We don't really know why, but we've seen a strong trend that way. We have had success with coffee intake so if it's a switch you could make for a while, it may really help. I know on some sites they claim coffee sways blue but they're wrong and I have a full investigation of that here: https://genderdreaming.com/forum/gen...s-swaying.html
