I just read your post and wanted to calm you down. Its not true that these attempts are failed sways! I BD as soon as I got my +opk because I had the feeling that my egg would pop within 12h after +opk (I got that impression from my previous cycles where I observed my ovulation closely with temping and being aware of ovulation pains and all that stuff) aaaand it worked!
Ok, for sure every body is different and reacts differently to the LH surge and other crazy hormones....there must be more research still...one can never say something thats true for everyone...blabla
BUT I still hold that the first 24h after +opk are the most important ones for conceiving (a boy). We even bd before +opk every 2-3 days unprotected. Please don't worry about that. I have my fingers crossed for you

I had small amounts of blood when wiped and i got my +opk and smiley on the 12th october at 7.30pm bd that night around 11.30pm bd the morning of the 13th got cramps at 4.30pm which may of been ovulation pain, bd again that night and again the morning of the 14th took an ovulation test on the morning of 14th and it was negative so i assume i must of ovulated on the 13th!
Praying iv done enough and to finally have our boy!! xx

That was a great attempt, I do want to clarify that you cannot tell when you ovulated based on when your OPK go negative, though. You can have a postive OPK after ovulation, and have your OPK go negative and not ovulated yet.

Ok thanks just got worried that i had swayed wrong, because i did it asoon as i got smiley positive and not 24hrs after x

24 hours after a positive OPK is not only low chance of conception, but also may sway pink because most people will only be able to get in one attempt that way.

My recommendation is to have people start attempting at the first positive OPK.

Have been having pains in left side of pelvis and midwife thought ectopic pregnancy luckily all is okay with little bean thank god!! Any ramzi guesses? Abdomonal scan x

I agree it looks girly, but still early, nub could rise and this is just one pic, another angle could show it differently so don’t give up hope..fx this is actually a boy!!!! When is your next scan?
